Reminiscent of the old clinker boats that coastal communities have used to store tools and nets, most notably on Northumberland’s own Lindisfarne Island, the glamping cabins are designed to resemble upturned fishing boats – but with all the home comforts that have created a beautiful all season living space. Blackcleugh cabin is positioned nearest to the bank of Langley Dam; providing unhindered views of the beautiful fishing lake. This cabin sleeps up to 4 adults, or up to 4 adults and one child under 12 years old. The fixed king-sized bed has a proper comfortable mattress. This sleeping area can be curtained off from the rest of the living space where there is a king-sized double sofa bed. The kitchenette is equipped with a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice box compartment, double ceramic hob and an electric oven with a grill. There is a drop leaf table with folding chairs for dining. The cabin is heated by means of an electric heater, and each cabin has a 28” smart TV with DVD player and WiFi. The en-suite shower room has a flushing toilet, shower, sink and shaver socket. The private decking at the front of the cabin leads down to your own gravelled area where there is seating provided around a firepit/BBQ, so you can make the most of those long evenings around the fire enjoying the fantastic views. In all cabins we provide bird spotting and stargazing guides as well as OS explorer maps of the area so you can make the most of the wildlife, stars and walking in the area. Six cabins are available on site: Blackcleugh, Wheatley's, Humbleton, The Wonneys, The Rushy Lot and Bare Bones. We also have a children’s play area on site for our guests to enjoy. This is suitable for children between approximately 3 and 12 years old. Very peaceful and quiet - tranquil. Ensure that hot water is avaiable, at best we had luke warm showers - we also had to boil the kettle to wash up. Provide additional towels and an area to dry (air out) towels.
