"£2 for a pint next door was excellent! Comfortable, large superior room with good insulation and lovely exposed wood trusses. Have already booked again."

Porters Lodge

Porters Lodge

"The place was clean and bright. However we were unprepared for the atmosphere. Nowhere in the booking process did we understand that we were staying in a religious commune. We could not find the promised shared kitchen and the walls were very thin. Everyone was friendly but we only saw one last when we arrived and one when we left. We just felt the place was a bit strange."

Harewood End Inn

Harewood End Inn

"Everything was there for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very good and although we didn’t have dinner there as we were visiting family, the menu looked very nice and reasonably priced. Our room was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Lovely little apartment, perfect for a few nights stay. Fiona and James were great hosts , nothing was too much trouble. Lola and Pablo (the black Labradors) were an extra bonus!"

Brandon Lodge

Brandon Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"It is a lovely little hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The location is excellent for Hereford just 7 minutes away. We used it as a base and visited Hereford Cathedral and the Old House Museum in Hereford, Croft Castle, Leominster, Ledbury (not to be missed) Ross on Wye and Goodrich Castle. All less than 45 mins. away. Also some of the Black and White villages north of the City. Would definitely recommend this hotel and also a trip to Herefordshire."

"We thought the property would be lovely but we were blown away when we walked in. Very tastefully decorated with some beautiful furniture and nic nacs. A characterful property ideally situated for days out. A friendly pub with excellent food, beers and wine just a 5 min walk away is the icing on the cake!Coralie answered all of our questions promptly to ensure an extra special family break. Thank you!"

Hopbine House

Hopbine House

8/10 Good
"Incredibly friendly and helpful owner, just a 5min and £4/5 uber to the centre of town, worked out much cheaper doing that than being in town. Lovely setting, slightly dated, cute breakfast (handy if on the go too!) but spacious room and would stay again! Plenty of free parking on site too."

A stylish family house close to the centre of Hay-on-Wye

8/10 Good
"Great location, parking was great addition. I think that the house is a work in progress- upstairs and front rooms appeared to have been renovated ( although couldn’t turn on hot tap on bathroom sink and main lights in bedroom didn’t light - we were ok using the side lights)Kitchen and lean to in need of updating, and garden needs attention. However I would return as it was clean, comfortable and in great location"
