Tucked away in a little hamlet, this delightful guest house is a gem of a find. Everything is well maintained, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as good as it gets, all personally served at the table in the large modern kitchen diner. The staff were kind, helpful and with a good degree of local knowledge. There is a hot tub in the garden and just steps away from the local pub which serves good food. We have no hesitation in saying you will be very happy to stay there....

Every aspect was perfect

One of those rare finds that you almost want to keep to yourself so you can always get a room.. :-) We booked only 3 hours before our 2 night stay so options were limited and we were a bit worried we'd be left with what no-one else wanted. Recently returned from a great four nights stay for our first visit to the Northdale. From arrival to departure everything was Excellent.greeting on arrival by the owners Melanie and Chris and we appreciated the tea and coffee that was provided whilst discussing the hotel and facilities.We booked a twin superior room (1) which is big room and as a very comfortable King size bed.There even a welcome basket of fruit and teas making facilitys which is replaced each day. The room was perfect, Iwas originally in a standard room until I was moved down to a disabled friendly room on before I had my first night, the owners we very friendly and can have a great laugh with them, I highly recommend this hotel

If you are looking for an authentic British inn in the modern style look no further. Great village location, superb food, great beer, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a 'real breakfast'. Intrigued ..go there.

Highly recommend. Gorgeous restaurant and rooms with a beautiful courtyard garden. Perfect for us with two children who were in same building but floor above via internal staircase. Car park just round the corner had to pay separately for but plenty spaces. Bed was fine but could have been more comfortable and slippers would be good but appreciated the robes. We had a 'superior' room/apartment, and it really was superior. An entrance hall, bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, AND a large sitting room/kitchen. Fantastic. And not noisy despite overlooking Saturday Market Place and being at one end of the High Street. Parking is available, in Saturday Market Place, and not cheap, but go a little further afield and find a long term parking car park and cost is reduced. Friendly and comfortable - very smart and we'll appointed. I had to leave at 0500 so could not comment on the breakfast but the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent from the start. Breakfast was a full English and i mean FULL.my hubby really enjoyed it. There was a wide choice of alternatives otherwise The evening meals made it hard to choose, never seen a sirloin steak large and cooked to perfection, it was delicious, All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Top marks to the chef and Sue who made it a nice place to be. Hope to return for a longer stay soon.

Having stayed at The Orange Tree in the past many times, we were really pleasantly surprised to find that they had expanded their accommodation to include the conversation of two cottages next door. It was in one of these that we stayed. The rooms had been so tastefully done with all the amenities that you could wish for. Lovely old pub, staff and service really good and food excellent .

Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.

A pleasant, comfortable hotel. The food was nice and we all (family of 4) slept well. Will definitely stay again.
