Business trip

Posted 29-Apr-2016
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: See above- sleeping conditions far from optimal.
Bed was squeaky, even when just rolling over, pillows uncomfortable, comforter too hot with no alternative, climate control system not flexible. Breakfast was good, though.

A short trip to Connecticut

Posted 01-Mar-2016 on Hotels
It was a short trip for family reason. Hampton Inn in Rocky Hill was in a convenient location for all meetings and group activities. I appreciate the good breakfast and comfy beds. The hotel was clean, front desk staffs were courteous and nice.

Unfortunate in Rocky Hill

Posted 16-Feb-2016 on Hotels
I've stayed here before. It's fine. Nothing great or spectacular. But certainly fine. The problem on this trip is that the heater was incredibly loud. I opted to turn the heat off and deal with the colder room temp. Unfortunately, the unit would come on for ten seconds each half hour or so (or so it seemed in my half sleep). It didn't occur to me until the morning that I should have checked to see if I could have unplugged it. Whatever. Lousy night sleep. That happens. The woman at the front desk was certainly nice. But I thought she mishandled the situation. I really ought not have been charged for that night. Or given a free night in the future. It makes me wonder whether this is not unusual, or something. I don't think I'll risk going back there.
