"I travel a lot - and this was hands down THE best hotel staff experience I have ever had! Friendly, jovial and they all remember you from the very moment you check in. They greet you as you go in and out, ask about your day, and chat up local things to do. The doormen stay outside on the sidewalk and run to help you in or out of cars, watch out for you on the sidewalks along the entire block, and are genuinely invested in your entire Boston experience. Staying at the Dagny was the icing on our Boston vacation cake! 10 out of 10 would stay here again!"

"This is an elegant and beautiful old hotel that has recently undergone some lovely renovations. It is in an absolutely perfect location for exploring the city, right in the heart of the freedom trail and close to subway stations. The public rooms are beautiful, and the service from all staff members, from the doormen, to the front desk team, to the wait staff in the restaurants, and even the maids, was fantastic. Food in the hotel was excellent and served with care and attention. Don't miss the Boston cream pie and parker house rolls! I have to agree with other travelers that the rooms are quite small, but they contain every convenience you can think of, and we found them to be quite comfortable. We would stay there again in a minute!!!"

"Almost everything was absolutely perfect except for two little things. I stayed in building 4, and the two sets of glass doors were quite heavy. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a button to push to open the doors automatically, so getting my luggage through the doors was difficult. My only other suggestion is to add a small fridge to the room. Other than that, what an absolutely stunning and peaceful hotel and there is so much stuff to do and see within walking distance. Definitely hop on bus 66 to the water taxi from Logan Airport. It's not expensive at all, you can book the water taxi online, and the boat drops you off right at the entrance to the hotel. Captain Jamie was a very nice guy!! bostonwatertaxi.com"
