"Clean room, just needed the shower updating as it leaked badly over the bath through the shower screen and on to the floor (room 116). Really lovely position overlooking the beach. We stayed for one night and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, which was made even better by the helpful and friendly staff. My husband is a celiac and required gluten free food. They sorted everything for him and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back! Thank you ☺️"

"The room was dusty and cobwebs were around the inside of the window and we had spiders in there. The hotel was not very well maintained, could do with painting and upgrading of some of the furniture. The wooden panelling in pool area needs attention as well. We booked breakfast for 9am and when we arrived the scrambled eggs were dried up, no black pudding, no bacon and no butter available. Parking was fine. I had wanted to stay at the hotel for a while and was disappointed with my overall experience and would not visit agan."

"We had a really relaxing stay at Beck Studio Cottage.Jane is lovely and very welcoming!The place was absolutely immaculate and very inviting. There was absolutely everything you'd need for a comfortable break; a real home from home.The best part for us was just sitting in the conservatory chilling and watching the rabbits and monk jacks and birds!The bed was comfy and the bedding was good quality. Jane has wonderful artwork displayed and some interesting books and magazines to browse through.All the crockery was really pretty country cottage designs and the lighting was perfectly chosen.The studio is in a good position to drive to Southwold and Dunwich and of course to visit all the interesting villages and market towns.We would highly recommend anyone to stay here and would love to return ourselves."

"My two daughters and I were informed by reception the night before that breakfast would start at a certain time. However, when we arrived the next morning, we were told by the lady behind the bar that because it was a bank holiday, breakfast would open an hour later. While we understood the change, the staff member was very rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional in the way she spoke to us. When we said we would report the matter, she replied, “I don’t care.” I later reported this to reception, where both staff members were very apologetic and understanding."
