However, it didn't have some basic amenities in the kitchen, like a paring knife for cutting up fruit or dishcloth and tea towel. We found the laundry facilities difficult to use as the dryer took an unreasonable time and never completely dried our clothes. "Lovely hotel with restaurant downstairs, useful for bed and breakfast and getting dinner in the evening. Nice staff, had a nice sized room. Lovely sea views from front of property. Easy access by walking 10 minutes or less by car to Penzance train station and the town. Great if you want to explore the area, st Ives 25 mins by train and st Michael’s Mount 3 miles are nearby with great transport links by bus and train."

"This is a nice hotel well situated for Fistral Beach and for access to the town. Our room had a great view of the sea. We enjoyed the breakfast service with the polite and attentive staff. The housekeeping was a little hard to come by - you need to request it which is fine but nobody told us! However the rooms were very clean. This is an old building which was not designed with AC and whilst we had a fan to keep noir room cool I think it could be inconsiderable in very hot weather. Check out at 11am seems a little early but there is a lounge you can stay in."
