Grotta del Genovese

Staff were lovely but the room was very dirty (hairs everywhere in the bathroom and the bedroom itself with dirt marks on the wall by the bin). The shower head holder was broken both in terms of height and direction, it totally fell down so you had to hold it yourself to take a shower and the cold tap stays lukewarm at all times. Aircon worked and it was not noisy at all on a Saturday night which was great and the location was fantastic. Appreciate this hotel is a bit of a cheap and cheerful find and we only stayed for one night so it didn’t spoil our trip or anything, but at a minimum the shower should be functional and the room should be clean.

The bathroom was quite old. Hence, there was wear and tear. in addition, to dirty tiles and faucets. in the corners of the rooms there was dust and dirt. The lift didn’t work and there was steep stairs we also had a two year-old with us three large suitcases and a pram with no working lift. The positives were: very good location walking distance to the centre of town, the staff were very very friendly and the ceilings and architecture of the building were beautiful.
