Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"The room was very clean and well maintained and the comfort of the bed was amazing. Check in staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was Self service but superb. We didn’t use the spa on this occasion as we were there to attend a wedding but have used it previously and it is top notch. My only bug bear is that due to not booking direct I had to pay for parking at £12. This didn’t sit right with me because if using the spa, parking is free, if I had just attended the wedding and had not stayed the night parking would have been free. So then when I give them more custom of staying the night I had to pay because I hadn’t booked directly."

"Staff very helpful, lovely food and priced very good, good drinks service but felt bar man a bit over worked on his own but handled it very well. nice atmosphere."

"All excellent ! Only disapointment on this visit was checking in , there was only one person on reception and it was about 15.10 pm when I had to wait about 25 minutes to check in because there was a group of tourists checking in together. At that time of day there should have been more than one person on reception !"

"A very grand hotel set in acres of woodland. The hotel is showing its age a little bit now. But overall we had a great couple of nights stay. Food was fantastic, especially the breakfast"

Lakeside Hotel & Spa

"Nice hotel. Great seating outside on the lake and in conservatory- would be better if more seating in conservatory. Pub/bar area itself is very dark and dingy. Seats outside the bar area were nice but not enough - some of the drinks were dear -£16 for a large wine! Food in brasserie was nice and staff nice too. Parking free at the hotel and very close to the lake boats snd train. Lovely place near the lake and would stay there again if in area."

"The staff was very friendly and recommended the sight seeing view points. The breakfast was very good and you have the option to choose the vegan menu. The soundproof was not so good though, we could hear the noice from floors upstairs late night and early morning."

"The room was clean with plenty of towels the staff where helpful and informative nothing was too much trouble the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice the parking was good and the bus stop was in front of the hotel will be booking again next year"

"What a location absolutely stunning place, the view was out of this world over the lake . Couldn’t pick fault at all breakfast was excellent. 10/10"
