Lovely hotel set in some wonderful gardens.

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Pros: We liked it all.
Cons: I cannot think of any improvements.
Location: Close to to all the amenities shops/ bars/ restaurants/beach/ Marian etc
Had a really enjoyable stay. Helped by some lovely weather. The hotel is set amongst some lovely gardens. It's pleasure to stroll through the grounds. Two lovely pools with plenty of sunbeds. Clean and tidy throughout. Attention staff all of whom were very friendly and helpful. Only had. Breakfast so did not experience evening meals. The choice for breakfast was so extensive and well presented. Room was basic but well furnished...fridge,tea making facilities, comfy chairs veranda and spacious.

Hotel staff are excellent and very accomodating to reasonable requests. This hotel fits inwith the town environment, rather than imposing over it.

Very nice hotel with gardens

Posted 15-Mar-2017
Pros: The facilities, gardens and most of all the staff.
Cons: minor points - tea and coffee making facilities but no teaspoon.
Location: 10 minutes walk to shops, restaurants and bars.
The hotel is extremely well positioned with a 10 minute walk to marina and town centre. The hotel facilities are very good and only let down by some minor matters.

Lovely hotel within easy walk to beach & shops

Posted 07-Mar-2017
Pros: The care that has been put into everything from the buildings and the gardens, to the staff and even the resident cats.
Location: Quiet location, easy walk to the beach, harbour, marina & shops. Puerto Mogan is small & very picturesque, with dozens of cafes & restaurants.
A carefully planned hotel set in beautiful gardens with lots of trees and plants, streams and waterfalls, as well as swimming pools, tennis courts and a children's play area. Well appointed rooms in reasonably sized blocks, with courtyards and fish-pools or fountains. Well trained, friendly and local staff, decent food and a sensitive environmental policy.

Great hotel, great location

Posted 27-Feb-2017
Just returned from a week at puerto mogan. Great holiday. Hotel staff were great, so friendly, ready to answer any questions and make recommendations. Hotel facilities are great too. Rooms are big and spacious. Hotel is located within 5min walk to the beach. We only had breakfast included but it's one of the best buffet i've ever seen, catering for all. There are 2 large pools with hot tubs. Hotel looks like a little oasis, grand without being tacky. I would definetely go back

Lovely hotel, good location in pretty Mogan

Posted 21-Feb-2017
Pros: Hotel itself is really lovey.Very clean, good food, Love the outside pools
Cons: The awful entertainment on offer. It felt like we had walked back into the 1970's
Location: Nice level walk down to the small beach and the busy marina area with bars, restaurants & shops.
There are so many good points of our holiday at the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa but would I return? Probably not. The hotel is wonderful, well designed full of plants and colour and different levels. It's very clean and well kept. The pools are lovely and plenty of sunbeds and space to select a sunny or shady spot. The food was very good with plenty of choice for both us and my fussy teenagers (chocolate fountain went down well!) and we stayed half board for a week. You are offered the option to change from evening meal to lunch if you give a days notice, so perfect if you wanted an evening meal in the marina area. Our rooms were very nice, good bathroom and beautiful tiling however I would recommend a room on higher floors (we were on level 2) as we had a very restricted view from our balcony due to the trees & plants. The thing that lets this hotel down is the dismal entertainment. It all appears to be aimed at the large section of elderly guests or small children in the min club. There is no music anywhere in the hotel and this seemed odd. The atmosphere in the poolside bars is flat and functional. The reception lounge each night had various single performers doing muted classic jazz or guitar tracks. Not even foot tapping stuff. And as for the 9.30 evening entertainment in the main bar we left each night after a couple of numbers. Bad 1970's type singers, bad flamenco etc The hotel needs to improve the entertainment, a lively bar with modern music would be a start.....

Lovely Small Fishing Town

Posted 07-Feb-2017
Pros: The hotel has an easy relaxed style with gentlemen expected to wear long trousers for dinner. The food is varied and plentiful and we didn't need to e
Cons: We felt there were two issues that occurred more than once and should be mentioned. The main bar struggles with waiter service for about an hour from
Location: As above
Ideal hotel and small fishing town for a week of winter sun. From the hotel you can walk the entire town in less than 2hrs. There are plenty of things to do other than lie by the pools, including an archaeological site. This is accessed directly from the hotel and following an initial steep climb it is a level walk with delightful views over the hotel and town, there is even a small bar along the path. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town, a protected sandy beach ideal for young families, as well as great snorkelling

A nice hotel let down by penny pinching

Posted 05-Feb-2017
Pros: Excellent breakfasts.
Cons: Information about the hotel, its services, a free map of the site. Better signage.
The hotel aims to be classy, but lets itself down by penny pinching. Free water on day one only and after that you have to go to the local supermarket to stock up. Ditto tea and coffee in the room - one day's supply only. 3 euros extra if you want to use the safe. We paid a good three figure sum per night and would have happily paid a couple of pounds more to have these things taken care of! Worst of all, there was no information at all about the hotel in our room - the only hotel we stayed in that didn't give a run down of its services. Perhaps they were hoping that we wouldn't use them, or at least not the free ones. Nor were we offered a map of the very complex site. There was indeed a general lack of signage - we almost didn't get into the archaeological site because we were pulling not pushing on the card controlled door. And we walked 400-500 metres through the site only then to discover that the village entrance at the far end was closed on Mondays.

Lovely Hotel in Pretty Fishing Port

Posted 02-Feb-2017
Pros: It is a very attractive hotel with a pleasant ambiance. The room was very well provided and comfortable and clean. The staff were very pleasant.
Cons: A decent map of the hotel is needed as it is quite a large complex.
Location: It is situated within easy walking distance of the attractive port. There is a dirct bus from the airport and good bus service to the capital.
A beautiful hotel centrally located with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is very good with an enormous choice. The evening entertainment was very professional.

In a good location

Posted 31-Jan-2017
Pros: In a lovely 'garden' type setting
Cons: Breakfast coffee and hot water only luke warm. Carpet on the approach to restaurant needs replacing.
Location: Within driving distance of the main tourist attractions - Tejeda, Maspalomas, Artenera etc - scenery splendid.
Very pleasant stay in January - weather sunny - low 20's. Position good - a few minutes from the harbour at Puerto Mogan.
