Muy buen hotel

Posted 29-Aug-2016

Cons: Es gibt nichts, was einer Verbesserung bedürfe. Weiter so!

Lovely hotel

Posted 25-Aug-2016
Pros: Food, grounds, room, staff
Cons: More entertainment for adults
Location: A bit quieter than other parts of the island, nice restaurants, fantastic weekly market, ferry trips a good way to explore nearby coastal resorts
Very friendly helpful staff, we particularly liked the lovely gardens with tropical plants. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with an impressive array of local and continental style dishes to choose from. Overall the hotel was great for families but could have offered more for couples, i.e. entertainment for adults rather than "mini disco" and children's entertainment in the disco bar. Would have been nice to have access to facilities such as table tennis (one table only) and bowling alley without having to wait until the children had lost interest, could not get into either of the two pools due to children taking over. Would visit again but not in school holidays!

Lovely hotel, nice location

Posted 18-Aug-2016
Pros: Location, layout, cleanliness, staff, food
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel is close to the beach and marina, where you can find lots of restaurants and local shops. There is a Spar nearby and the bus station too.
Stayed for a week on half board basis. Staff extremely friendly, good food and plenty of choices. Pool area never too crowded, always enough sunbeds. Room was spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. There was a choice of welcome drinks, and we were even offered coffee and breakfast at 4 am when leaving to the airport! Well impressed, would highly recommend this hotel.

Good 4 star hotel, excellent staff. Clean and well managed. Good variety of food that is fresh and varied but dinner is served either at 18.30 or 20.30. Try and get a table outside for breakfast and dinner. There are masses of restaurants a short walk away if you are undecided about taking half board. There is a supermarket over the road which means you can buy water etc and use the fridge in your room. The pool area is busy and congested but there are grass areas with some shade that have a few loungers on.

Hôtel splendide, cadre idyllique

Posted 04-Aug-2016

Absolutely lovely hotel

Posted 31-Jul-2016
Pros: The hotel exceeded expectations. The grounds, staff and food were all fantastic.
Cons: Free water with dinner would be nice.
Just come back from a week at the hotel with my 12 year old. We both loved this place. It is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and gardens and with a quiet, laid back atmosphere, despite being very busy with hundreds of guests. There were lots of families but also couples of all ages from twenties up to retired. The food was fantastic with loads of choice at both the breakfast and dinner buffets. We never had to queue for food and the waiters are very attentive. There is a supermarket over the road from the hotel and a Spa in puerto de mogan, so plenty of options for cheap lunches, or nice restaurants by the harbour too. The pool was big and clean, with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The staff were great at ensuring some of the older kids didn't get too boisterous in the pool. Our room was comfortable, we had a nice balcony overlooking the pool, the aircon worked well and the room was cleaned every day. TV had BBC and SKY news, as well as channel 4 and a couple of other UK channels. We explored down the coast with a trip to Puerto Rico one day and got an unbelievably overcrowded beach with sports bars everywhere and bad food. But the boat trip was nice! Puerto de Mogan is a lovely harbour and beach, but we preferred it in the evening when less hot and crowded. It's about 10 mins from the hotel and makes for a nice after dinner stroll, especially when the Cello player is busking!

Lovely, well run hotel.

Large hotel. Very well kept. Nothing too much trouble. Food is excellent. Just don't agree that smart shorts cannot be worn by men in restaurant in the evening. Saw a guy in scruffy jeans hanging down below his bottom. My son looked much smarter in his tailored shorts and a polo shirt!

Jardín maravilloso. Servicio excelente. Comida buena.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 17-Jul-2016
Well located hotel 5 minutes from Mogan sea front. Extensive, well maintained grounds with 2 clean swimming pools. Buffet breakfast and dinner good quality although as it was busy there was occasionally a gap between something running out and it being replaced. We benefitted from the drinks package which costs €6 for unlimited local drinks with dinner (wine, beer, water, soft drinks).
