The staff was very helpful and friendly, hailing me a taxi with an English speaking driver. We had a wonderful conversation! "ホテル花巻、紅葉館と３階の連絡通路で繋がっているので、３館の温泉を楽しめるのがいいです。ただし結構距離はあると思います。夕食、朝食共にビュッフェスタイルですが、夕食は品数も多くて和洋中あり、満足でした。朝食はルートインなどのビジネスホテルと大差ない内容です(違いはオムレツを作ってくれるのと、かに雑炊とアイスがあるくらいで、おかずはむしろ少ないと思います)。"

"The staff were very friendly and attentive! The ryokan was beautiful in the snow. In the best possible way, we had a great time laughing with the staff over my stilted Japanese. The lady who showed us our room went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We had a lovely time at Shikitei, and I hope we return!"
