From that bus stop, there is a shuttle bus that brings you to Shikitei. It is otherwise within walking distance although it can be a little cumbersome if you are dragging some luggages. The ryokan itself is very well-maintained and clean. The service was top-notch with a staff member ready to receive you after check-in and taking the elevator to your floor and would guide you to your room. The food was in the kaiseki-style. It was great. Absolutely no complaints. The one downside, perhaps, is that there is nothing much to do in the area after dark. There is a convenience store that is supposedly within walking distance. The only negative is its location which is not the most convenient. It can be reached by bus and the hotel will come and get you from the bus stop. By taxi it is about 35 minutes and cost yen 4500 from the main railway station.
