"Nice hotel, convenient location, great staff"
This is the second time we are staying at this hotel, and our experience was similar to the previous one.
The hotel is within a short walking distance of the American Embassy, the Music Hall and the Metro blue line. Lycabettus Hill is not much farther. Staff was excellent. Breakfast has a very good variety with the typical fare of cold cuts, cheese, eggs, breads, sweets and tea/coffee/juices, and several local choices, like strained yogurt and yogurt in a clay pot, spanakopita, tyropita, koulouria (sesame seed-covered bread formed in a ring), baklava and loukoumades. Biggest challenge was how to keep myself from eating too much each day!
Reception area was very nice, rooms were not super modern, but nice, good amenities, free 1.5Mbps internet with higher speeds available for extra charge, LCD TV.
Our room was a bit small (but typical of European hotels) and was facing the front street. We had a nice view of Lycabettus Hill, but the soundproofing was not good. There was car noise from the street, but at night there may be 7-8 cars average per minute, so it was not too bothersome. We could sleep fine, but a light sleeper might find this less desirable. A room facing the back may be a better choice.
Overall we had a very nice experience with our stay there.
