"We know the hotel can't control the weather, but we were surprised by the lack of effort to offer some kid friendly activities with 4 straight days of rain. Other issues we encountered: 1) our shower looked like it was never cleaned. The same 2 pieces of hair were stuck on the tile when we arrived and left. Lots of mold too. 2) my husband took my tween daughters to the gym with him (since we were all going stir crazy from the 3rd straight day of rain!) They were rudely informed at the desk that the girls were not allowed to work out and would have to sit and watch my husband. 3) the indoor pool had several leaks in the ceiling, along with lots of dead geckos. We tried to get lunch afterwards, but pretty much every restaurant (besides the pizza place and pool restaurant) was closed. Ended up having a long wait for a table at Surfcaster. One food runner spilled a plate of chips on my husband and all over the floor and mumbled "I'll come back to clean that up" but never did. Then after waiting 35 mins for our cocktails, we were told the beverage ticket blew away and glasses broke, so that's why there was a long wait. 4) the refrigerator in our room was broken 5) the toilet in my daughters' room only occasionally flushed. 6) lots of maintenance needed in our "hallway". The "Exit" sign was broken broken and hanging my a thread. There were old beverage glasses (not ours!) sitting outside our room for 2 days. A champagne flute fell over and broke. Used qtips scattered "

"Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Condo was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool. Sunrises off the back deck and sunsets off the bedroom deck are spectacular. The only critique is the cleaners need to pay closer attention to shower walls. Highly mineralized water also causes mineral deposits on shower heads. That said, we would still highly recommend this property"

"I rented this unit with two girlfriends (3 total) for a reunion long weekend. This condo is a perfect location and has amazing east and west facing views. It is up-to-date and very clean. It has a spacious and beautiful kitchen that has everything you need. It also has spacious bedrooms and bathrooms allowing privacy for each guest or set of guests. It also has great closet space (but can use a few more hangers). Perfect for viewing the ocean to the east and the river to the west--just move patios based on sun rising or setting. The west patio is off two of the bedrooms and smaller. Windows all around making it a very light unit. The grounds around the unit are very nice making it a pleasant walk to the pool and the beach. The host was very responsive and kind. Simple instructions for checkin and checkout. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely go back. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this condo. The check-in process at the guard station was a little hectic since we went through VRBO and not the actual resort, but I was able to provide him with our confirmation email and he was able to find our information that way with the manager's name. The property itself was beautiful, clean, updated, and conveniently located to the pool and beach. The views from the condo were stunning and the sunrises and sunsets were incredible! We'd highly recommend this property to friends and family looking for a fun and comfortable getaway to Amelia!"
