This newly-built log home boasts spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains from every room. Stretch out on comfy sofas in the great room with its soaring ceilings while enjoying your favorite movie or ball game. Prepare and serve a sumptuous feast for 12 in the gourmet kitchen. Snuggle up under a throw blanket and catch up on your reading while enjoying the warm glow of the fireplace. Want something more active? You’re only minutes away from all the action at Dollywood, hiking trails through the Smoky Mountains, even skiing and tubing at Ober Gatlinburg.
Our home is a timber-frame mountain cabin ideally situated between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You may not want to leave the comfort of Five Bears but if you want to venture out you’re only 15 minutes from all your favorite attractions and restaurants. After a day out, come back home to relax, nestled atop a quiet hill featuring unobstructed views of Mt. LeConte and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
As you enter Five Bears Den you’ll love our spacious and well-appointed game room on the ground floor. Here you can enjoy a quick snack and your beverage of choice while at the bar. Grab a cue and play pool, or if you prefer, lounge on the recliner sofas to watch the big game on the large-screen TV. Sliding-glass doors lead to a large covered deck where you can sip coffee in your rocking chair before you start your day. You’ll be eager to dip into the hot tub on this deck to soak those aching muscles after a great day of sightseeing or hiking. This floor has a gorgeous cedar-log queen bedroom set where you can glimpse a view of the mountains. Right across the hall is a full bathroom with tub. The laundry room on this level is nicely equipped with a large-capacity Maytag washer and dryer to dry your suits after a dip in the hot tub or in any of our three summertime Chalet Village swimming pools, or just to freshen up during an extended stay. Ironing may not be your idea of fun while on vacation, but we’ve got you covered. We have an iron and full-size ironing board set up for you, just in case.
The main level upstairs showcases the towering timber-frame architecture of the great room. This lofty space was designed and decorated to reflect the majesty of the Smoky Mountains. The gourmet kitchen is stocked with about every gadget and gizmo a chef could ever want. No expense has been spared in this heart of the home. Granite counters, stainless steel appliances including a microwave/convection oven and gas range. There is plenty of room to dine for you and your party. Besides the spacious island with seating for three, there are two additional seating areas, one in the breakfast nook, and one along a bank of windows with sweeping views toward the mountain range. After that big meal you’ll probably want to lounge on the comfy sofa basking in the glow of the stone gas-log fireplace. Above the mantle is another large screen TV to catch a game or your favorite show. You’ll likely be drawn outside though to the Adirondack rocking chairs and glider on the huge main deck. The grill master in your group will want to fire up some burgers or steaks on the grill we’ve provided.
Back inside, you’ll find the barn wood king master suite with deck access. It has a luxurious private bath with a walk-in shower, two big closets for your belongings, and another TV. There’s an additional half bath down the hall.
The most spectacular views are found on the top level. A tastefully-appointed third bedroom awaits with a hickory wagon wheel queen bedroom set, TV, closet, and shared bathroom with walk-in shower. This may be our home’s coziest resting space, with a rocking chair next to the windows showcasing the expanse of the magnificent Smokies. Also on this level is a massive loft bedroom area, complete with two twin-over-full bunk beds overlooking the towering beams and picturesque windows of the great room.
Whether you seek adventure or just a place to relax and decompress, we work hard to provide you with a worry-free vacation home that blends in harmony with the natural beauty of the Smokies.

This stunning cabin was all that we hoped for and more! The hosts were very communicative and went out of their way to make us feel at home! The location and exceptional views helped our family to make memories that we will cherish always!!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. The location was great for easy park access or going into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Views from the porch are breath taking. We will be back.
Beautiful home! This was the perfect amount of space for our family to enjoy. Home was decorated for the holiday and we loved the views from the balconies.
Absolutely stunning property with amazing views. Seen bears within minutes of arriving! We loved it. Hands down the best property managers we’ve ever had the pleasure of booking with. 10/10. We will return!
We had a lovely family vacation staying at this beautiful chalet. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us, which is a plus. Everyone had such a fun, relaxing time.
Dan & Jolene are excellent hosts. They responded promptly anytime I had a question. Check this property out. You will glad you did.
Fabulous cabin. Realized while there that had we stayed south of gatlinburg we would have had to drive through gatlinburg to get anywhere. That would have been horrible.
As for cabin, well stocked kitchen, wonderfully comfortable beds. Views to die for. Separate bar. Perfect for us.
This beautiful mountain home was a perfect meeting spot for us to spend a weekend with our college-aged children. The home is immaculate: every room is beautifully appointed with just the right touch of rustic. Boys used the pool table a ton while we watched March Madness and even dipped in the hot tub. It was cozy and comfortable with amazing views, while also convenient to everything. Yes, the ride up the mountain and driveway were steep, but we were prepared. Check in and check out were a breeze and Dan and Jolene were proactively communicative and helpful with even the most minor issue (we needed to put the ice handle down!) And bonus - we saw a mama bear with cubs! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Our stay in Gatlinburg was not quite what we expected, due to getting ill while on vacation. But, the cabin was IMMACULATE. The hosts have thought of every detail, we even found a high chair in the master closet for our little one. Plenty of entertainment, great views, great kitchen setup (coming from someone who loves to cook!) and just an overall fantastic place! It’s beautiful, and the view can’t be beat. Dan and Jolene were very accommodating for our stay, just top notch communication and overall care and concern, like I said we got very sick on vacation. They even messaged to let us know of inclement weather that would be in the area so we could plan accordingly. The drive up is nerve racking, but just as others have stated, it’s manageable. I was extremely nervous myself, but after a couple trips, I was at ease. Do not hesitate to book this fantastic property, with GREAT owners for your next trip.
We booked last minute and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. They provided lots of great info prior to our arrival. The cabin was beautiful and immaculate. Perfect location-even a trolley stop very close to the cabin.
Great home. The kids had their own space when needed, yet the common areas were large enough that we could all be together for game and meal time. Beautiful porches with great views. The location is perfect. Easy quick drive to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Would definitely stay here again.
We were enjoying to stay 5 night in this great building. Everything include furniture and appliances is new. It was very clean inside. Great view of Smoky mountains. Very close to Gatlinburg just 10 minutes by car. Internet was very fast. And Wildlife was amazing we were lucky to see bears, rabbits and many different birds. Highly recommend to stay here.
Really nice cabin! Very clean! Exceptional views on the balcony. Overall a very nice place to stay and even saw a few bears a couple hoses down. As others have stated the road to the cabin is pretty curvy and the driveway is fairly steep. You do get used to it after a few trips up and down though. My group enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
It was a nice house and very well fortified. The driveway was way too much for us, we could not leave and go anywhere and come back in the dark, so we did not get to go to see the fireworks as we had planned. I have arthritis pretty bad, and I need a hot tub every night to help ease my pain, this did not happen, one of the reasons I choose this place, and the hot tub was not well maintained, and the jets did not work.
The description on this home is very accurate and exceeded our expectations. Very clean, big, updated decor, centrally located, but away from the traffic and crowds. It has everything you would need to just take a break from enjoying the area and even grill or cook for a family. The Mountain View’s are picturesque and you do see a lot of wildlife, we even saw a family of bears from the balcony. The owners were in contact making sure we had everything we needed. The driveway seemed steep, but really read the directions to access it and it won’t take long to get used to it. We would definitely stay here again.
