  • Welcome to Bearly Awake, a Luxury Mountain Retreat, located on 2.5 private acres in Chalet Village in Gatlinburg, TN. From the moment you arrive, you will see some of the most beautiful views the area has to offer. You will not find a more peaceful place to enjoy time with family and friends.

    This 4500 sq ft cabin has it all. The cabin includes 6 king bedrooms (two with gas fireplaces) and 7 full baths. It has two dens (one with gas fireplace), screened in porch, outdoor covered sitting area with grill and fire pit, 2 hot tubs, putting green, and childrens playground. The basement offers a poker room with fireplace, pool table room, movie room, and kids arcade complete with air hockey, foosball, and skee ball, This is a great place for a family gathering.

Incredible home for groups!

We stayed for a week while attending a dance competition and the house was absolutely perfect! Location to the convention center was great, the home was perfectly laid out for all 4 families to have their own space and the common areas were cozy for everyone. I would highly recommend this home to anyone hosting a large group!

Amazing for a large group!

We had a group of 6 families stay here and it was perfect with the 6 king rooms. The layout is super unique and allows for plenty of space for the kids and adults. It's at the very top of the mountain and has amazing views (and some bear-y friendly visitors)

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. It definitely could accommodate many more guests but it fit all of our needs so well we didn’t want to look elsewhere. The fire pit area is great, kids loved the arcade, and the view from the living room is amazing. Only problem was that we wished we could have stayed longer!

Great Large Family Stay!

We had 22 family members come and it was a great set up!!! So many bathrooms was a great perk!!!! The views were amazing and the location enabled us to feel tucked away but also get to town to do things easily! The kids would’ve been happy to spend the whole time in the basement between the games, theater room, and hot tubs!! Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay here getting our entire family together! We have all ages and there is something for everyone! Pool table , theater room, game room, 2 hot tubs, plenty of space for moms with babies, family gatherings. Property and home were breathtaking! Lots of fun things for everybody to do! There was never a dull moment in the house. We stayed for about a week. There was plenty of room for all of us. The view was beautiful in the morning and there were plenty inmates to sit and relax. The basement had pool, air hockey, foosball and more to keep us busy. We saw a bear every day on the property, one even looked in the laundry room window. We all had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay! Nights out at the fire pit were so much fun. The game room and hot tubs were a hit. The house was beautiful with amazing views. We even had a visit from a pair of bears. Perfect layout for our family with 6 bedrooms with King beds plus 3 of those had bunkbeds, pull out sofas or twin beds for grandkids.We used the firepit every night making smores, playing games and catching up on the day.There were several different common areas to allow us to spread you without being on top of each other.The views down the valley were spectular overlooking the foliage that was still vivid colors.

Celebrate 50th

This house provided the perfect gather place for our family of 11. Everyone had their own bedroom and private bathroom. The games downstairs provided great fun for our 3, 8 and 11-year-old grandchildren. I had never watched a movie in an entertainment room, but it was delightful to push back into a comfortable recliner. Lisa was very responsive to any questions that I had.

Family vacation

This place was perfect! It seemed it was made for our group specifically with a bedroom on the main level along with the kitchen and patio area for our elderly mother that can’t do stairs, the bunk beds in two rooms for our daughters and their children, and the wonderful outdoor area with the fire pit, tv and playground. As we arrived we found that a bear(s) had unfortunately torn one of the hot tub covers off and ripped it to shreds. I contacted the owner and she was extremely nice and sent someone to clean it up. We loved our stay!!

Both lisa and the home were great. The house was better then expected, the pictures did it no justice. Bear Crazy

Lots and lots of stairs, good way to get steps in. Location was great. Pools were very nice. Lots of visits from bears. We were not comfortable eating outdoors for dinner as they seemed to show up at that time. We loved seeing them though. Remember to bring extra supplies if you are staying for longer than two days. Another wonderful visit. To the Smokies!
