Owner managed property. Located on top of the Mountain less then 8 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, National Park and Ober Ski Resort.

An adventurous drive but all worth it for the VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS. Three decks to see the spectacular Smoky Mountains. Two private bedrooms downstairs each with own private bath. NEW CASPER mattresses. Spa room with two state of the art massage chairs. HOT hot tub with a view. Open living room and kitchen upstairs with pull out memory foam sleeper sofa and gas fireplace. Pet friendly with approval and fee.

Located in popular Chalet Village with access to community pools and tennis courts.

RULES: Must be at least 25 to book. Additional guest fee over 6 guests No 3rd party bookings. Disclosed pet fee with approval, $500 undisclosed pet fee, $50/hr late check out fee. No one night reservations less then one month in advance, 5 minimum stay during holidays. Cancellation Policy Guest receives 100% (less $100.00 cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 60 days before arrival; No refunds within 60 days of arrival. $500 refundable security deposit required.

We are not responsible for things outside of our control including but not limited to the weather, wildlife activity, disruptions in power or internet, public roads, noise from surrounding properties, acts of nature or local laws.

Mountain Retreat

This was a perfect house for my family of 4. The sunrise views were amazing. The massage chairs were definitely used by all and I enjoyed the hot tub a few times. Even had the pleasure of seeing some bears.

Relaxing and quiet

Really enjoyed the quietness of the location even though we were less than 10 min from Gatlinburg. We used the massage chairs every day from walking so much. Kate was awesome and checked up on us throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

More than Just A Vista. The place is perfect for a stay for a couple, young family or 2 couples. The view of downtown is spectacular! Convenient to the GSMNP or any other local attraction and restaurants.

Do yourself a favor and book this place already

The listing and the pictures in the listing are just as described. Kate is super responsive, friendly, and helpful. Her home is clean and well maintained as well as bright and tastefully decorated. I would stay here again without hesitation. It is conveniently located to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Smokey Mountains National Park. Do yourself a favor and book this place before somebody else snatches it up!

Weekend Getaway

Husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to reconnect with each other. Just A Vista was absolutely the perfect place to do so. The house was amazing and perfect. It was just as described and the views were amazing! Kate was a pleasure to work with and very quick to respond if we had a question. Check in and out was effortless. We loved the massage chairs. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Serene getaway with a lovely view

First of all, Kate was a wonderful host and made everything so easy! The property is in a quiet, peaceful location. The view from the various decks is very nice, a great place for a cup of coffee or a meal. The beds were extremely comfortable, probably the best beds we have slept in beside our own. We loved the walk-in showers. It is a short drive to town and best of all you will see mothers bears and cubs in the area. I would definitely recommend this property.

The View Was Beautiful

We enjoyed our stay at this chalet. Our only negative was the cleanliness. There were dirty dishes and silverware; we had to wash things before we could use them. The lights were dusty in the kitchen, and there was mold growing in the bathroom. But . . . the view out every window was absolutely stunning, no matter the time of day or the weather. Highly recommend it just for the view!

Beautiful house with fantastic views. We did see bears on the property. They were non-aggressive, fun to see, and very photogenic. No damage was done, but the bears did get into our truck. Lock your doors and keep windows up, as was suggested by the property owner. We had a great time at this VRBO property.

Very Releaxing & Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful stay! I am going to mention my experience on some of the things that were mentioned in previous reviews. Didn't see any bears- The road from the Bypass is a little scary that is the way GPS brought us in- if you take the main road (Ski Mountain Rd) it is not nearly as scary. I thought that I would mention that for anyone traveling from flatter lands. We live in the mountains so it wasn't a big deal. Once you get to the property the views are incredible! The massage chairs absolutely were a big hit! Of course Kate is amazing. Definitely recommend and will stay again!

Perfect Escape with a View!!!

Just a Vista was fantastic! The view from the back porch of the house was spectacular!!! And the house was great too! Plenty of room for 4 people, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a hot tub. There are 2 massage chairs that were perfect at the end of each day! This location was so close to downtown Gatlinburg and entrance to the Smokey Mountains National Park. Roads are a bit mountainous so getting there in the daylight is smart. My favorite part besides the view was the bears. Saw one each day right around the house! We even had one check out our mini-van (my fault for not looking the door). Overall this place was worth every penny! Thanks Kate!

Everything we wanted

My son wanted to see bears. We definitely saw our share of bears! I wanted a relaxing stay got that too. Being at the chalet was the best part of the whole vacation. I love the pools. They were all close by. Going to each one was a different adventure lol. My husband and I had a little anxiety at Firstenberg driving in the mountains but after two days it was fine. There were a lot of extra amenities. The house was clean. Perfect size for the six of us. We had four children 14 to 10. We had two dogs and one cat all staying at the chalet and everybody was happy. The whole family really really enjoyed those massage chairs by the way. They were amazing!

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay. We come every October for our anniversary. We stayed with our young adult kids and the rooms were spacious. Loved all the light and windows. Such a great layout for us to enjoy the weekend! Thank you for opening up this great cabin for us to stay in!

It was great!
