Cabin is at the edge of the woods, dead end. Very limited space to turn around in big suvs like mine but possible. Very narrow road coming into property. Luckily, we never met a car in the worst spots or someone would have been backing up. We also had lots of bear company. There were multiple bears getting in the dumpsters at the hotel that was a stones throw away from driveway. Come to find out the bear trail went in and out of the woods thru this cabins driveway! We seen the bear multiple times right under our decks and one bear stopped to check out my car multiple times, and once leaving paws prints and a nose print on the side. Thank goodness, somehow, he didn't scratch it. When we first spotted him he was on the back of a truck at the back of the hotel. So, do NOT leave any kind of food in your cars! As for the bears, it was the first cool weekend of the fall, and a full moon. This probably played a role in the bears being out and about and more frisky. We seen one from 3pm when we got home, til 1130pm which is when we went to sleep. We ended up getting out of the hot tub because a second bigger bear showed up next to our drive and the first one was just in the next door neighbors yard 20 yards away.We booked this property thinking we would be able to walk to downtown but, with the road on a hillside, very narrow, not much lighting at night, and bears very near, we did not even attempt to walk. All in all we enjoyed this cabin. The bear experience was like no other.
