  • This professionally decorated Luxury Log Cabin sleeps up to 12. Prefect for all occasions Southern Comfort features 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. A large fully equipped kitchen with plenty of seating and gathering space. What a way to relax after a day in the park by watching a movie on your private 9 foot theater screen or by relaxing in your 101 degree hot tub. Play a game of pool or air hockey in the downstairs game room with jukebox or congregate on the middle level with family in the open kitchen dining and living room. There is a gas grill on the back deck to fire up some steaks! Free Wireless internet is standard with all our cabins!

    Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

    Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking must be staying in the cabin.

    We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are no pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

    This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. I usually stay in Serenity Lodge but some of the people in our group have difficulty walking up stairs so I chose Southern Comfort to make getting in the cabin in easier. It was spacious enough for everyone we had there. Plus, it’s pet friendly and we have a service dog. I’ll definitely consider this cabin again. Dealing with Elk Springs Resort is amazing. I’ve been renting thru them for about 10 years now and always book thru them for a cabin

We had so much room and plenty of outdoor spaces.The Elk Springs Resort team communicated very well! One thing was I read there was a screened in porch and I searched for it. Other than that,it was perfection and we will return soon.

As a plumber I would definitely recommend getting new ultra flush toilets because the ones there are old and needs work. I wish that the cabin would have been more handicap friendly. I say that because the bedrooms are etheir upstairs or downstairs and when you have a grown man who can't walk it made it very difficult for him to get to the bed or to take a shower.

For the most part, it was a very good experience, except for the last night some neighbors moved into another rental for the weekend and were very loud all night long. Tried to contact the Renter. He said it was out of his hands, and the police would have to handle it. I called the police, and they said there is no ordinance against loud noise. So he couldn’t really do anything. It’s hard to believe that a place would have no ordinance for disturbing the peace. It is one of the most basic ordinances out there. Oh well except for that incident it was great.

The house is in a steep hillside so caution needed with children. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin upon arrival. Visibly dirty floors, dog food from previous guest in most rooms. Sheets in one bedroom did not appear to have been recently washed or had dirt from washer/dryer still on them. I understand this is a pet friendly cabin but for the price we hoped for more attention to detail when it came to cleaning of obvious dirt/food on floors. The resort staff is very kind and did call to check in.

We enjoyed our stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving Holiday at the Southern Comfort Cabin. The area is amazingly beautiful and the cabin suited our needs. There were 8 adults and we had room to spread out and have privacy if needed. We did have to purchase toilet paper and trash bags the first day we were there, which is not a huge issue, but our normal experience was to have a 2-3 day supply before having to replace these things. The upstairs TV would not work for us (due to a connectivity issue), the pool table is in poor shape, and the air hockey table has the wrong size puck (impossible to keep the puck on the table, and yes, we know how to play air hockey). All in all, these were not game changers for us as we didn't intend to play pool and air hockey the whole time, but it would have been nice to have the entertainment area in great working order when we did try and utilize the amenities, especially for the price you pay at this specific time of year. The kitchen was well stocked with the normal kitchen necessities you would need for your home away from home experience. Overall good experience.

The cabin was nestled in a fantastic location with breathtaking views from the porch that offered a peaceful and serene atmosphere—just what we needed to unwind.The furniture and beds were incredibly comfortable, making our stay cozy and relaxing. We were thrilled that the jacuzzi was fully operational and provided a perfect way to relax, especially since we've had previous experiences at other cabins where the jacuzzi didn't work. The home theater was a fantastic addition, allowing us to enjoy a memorable movie night together, while the pool table and air hockey table provided endless entertainment.The cleanliness of the cabin was impeccable, and everything was in excellent condition. Southern Comfort Review

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would say the pros of the cabin was the location. Everything is about 15-20 min drive which isn't terrible. The cabin was pretty clean minus some of the dishes that had to be rewashed. I will say although I did enjoy my stay here there were some minor things that bugged me. like I mentioned the dishes had to be rewashed before using. The cabin was highly outdated compared to some other ones I have stayed in. An example of this are the TV's. No smart TV's in any of the rooms. The "theater area was also outdated and when I called customer service they tried to help but it wasn't much help so we were unable to use it (It could be due to user error but still customer service was not the best). Overall I would say our stay here was 7 out of 10. I would probably not stay here again and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here who is looking for updated amenities.

Enjoyed the hot tub and gas grill worked great. Really enjoyed the pool table and spending time on the decks in rocking chairs. CONS: We were terribly disappointed that there were zero Christmas decorations up. Weve been coming in Dec for years and this was the first cabin we’ve stayed at with nothing. I bought 6 movies for us to watch and they were blue ray because the cabin listed blue ray players but every player in the cabin was basic dvd so we couldn’t watch them nor could we get the big screen tv upstairs to work. We didn’t call because not a reason to send someone out on Christmas to service. Only other issue was dish washer. We ran it twice and dishes weren’t clean. It’s just time for it to be replaced I think.

The only recommendations are that the kitchen needs more supplies for cooking/eating and the water temp and pressure in the top floor bathroom needs to be improved.
