Pros: The staff were very friendly especially oisin in reception.
Cons: Great hotel and facilities ,i think a little entertainment a singer or band would make this hotel perfect.

Great stay in a quiet part of a lively town.

The staff are really friendly. Oisin on reception gave me some sound advice on where to eat etc and was really helpful with knowledge of the hotel too. The room was comfortable and the WIFI was a reasonable speed. The Gym was well equipt and the 20mtr pool was really nice too. Breakfast was of a good standard. Galway is one of my favourite destinations in Ireland and is buzzing in an evening. Really enjoyed this stay.

Nice hotel in a nice location with great facilities offering a swimming pool & gym. Breakfast however a big disapointment, cold and poor quality. Buffet consisting of tinned fruit along with a poor functioning toaster Room a bit outdated

Excellent hotel in a quiet location

We chose the ardilaun Initially because of its price, compared to other 4 star hotels it was good value for money. It's a 30 minute walk to the city centre which is OK if the weather is good. 10 euro for the taxi back (rip off) The ardilaun has beautiful gardens and plenty of free parking. The hotel itself although a bit dated has a spacious lobby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The leisure facilities were excellent with good size pool, steam room and jacuzzi. One gripe I had was the girl in the leisure centre told me if I was using the steam room or jacuzzi, I would need a cap And was going to charge me for one.!!! I used the facilities and seen loads of people without a swimming cap.! The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We requested a top floor quite room and we got a good one, the only thing we didn't like about the room was a very strong smell of fresh paint. All in all its a good hotel with a competitive price and quality leisure facilities
