"This hotel was great. The people working the front desk and breakfast were very friendly, and seemed to like their jobs. There was maintenance going on,but it was not disruptive- nice to see upkeep being done. I was able to request a bottom floor since I had my kids, it made it very easy to unload and load up. "This is a beautiful old house. However our room was extremely small and cramped, we booked a balcony room which was shared but the only way to access it was by opening the sash window and stepping out. The bed took up most of the room and was difficult to move around to access the bathroom so easy to bang your legs on which my wife did constantly. "The house is a welcoming and quiet venue for quiet rest and overnight stays. Room 4 was small and cramped, but the queen sized bed was wedged into the room but was very comfortable. There was no room to walk around it. There was an in room bathroom that was clean and cramped, but it was convenient. We were able to walk to close by restaurants for dinner and breakfast. We then walked to the pier for embarkation for a cruise."

"I was skeptical because of the exterior of this motel, however I was very pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. It was very recently updated and was very clean and comfortable. New bedding, paint, cold A/C, and a wonderful view of the water from the room we were assigned. The room is small but was perfect in every way. The lady the front desk was polite and check in was smooth. I will definitely stay here again. "
