We had a really bad experience with were we first booked, then booked here and it was the experience we should have received the first time. Front desk was understanding and answered all question Rooms were clean and breakfast was great. And we didn’t have to pay for parking!

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. It looked like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. There were visible spots and residue on the table under the TV and the nightstand, strange hairs stuck to the lampshade, crumbs on both the floor and the chair, and the shower didn’t appear to be properly cleaned. The bed skirt had multiple black spots on it, and the floor underneath the beds was extremely dirty. To make matters worse, we even found a toenail clipping in the room. We also planned to use the guest laundry. When we called the front desk to ask where it was located, we were told it was on the third floor. After walking there with our laundry, we found an “Out of Service” sign on the machines. It would have been helpful if the front desk had known this before sending us upstairs. The staff was polite, but the overall cleanliness and lack of communication about the laundry facilities made our stay much less enjoyable than expected. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

Basic breakfast was good. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Guest laundry was not ideal. The washer was working but the dryer is out of order. The front desk will dry your laundry in the industrial unit though if needed. I found the building difficult to locate based on GPS location but there was ample parking once found.

Okay first of all the smell when you first walk In is very weird, but I figured maybe they are using some different kind of cleaner. The first room we were placed in was covered in mold. The walls, ceiling, the bathroom, Inside the ac was tons of fuzzy black mold spores I was horrified. We couldn’t find another hotel that last minute so I went to the front desk with video and asked for management and of course they weren’t there but the guy did offer to move us to a different room and thankfully it was mold free but I still went to the store and bought Lysol and doused the room and ac! The guest laundry was unavailable so I would have had to pay the front desk to wash our clothes for us and no thank you. Also if you stay more than 1 night house keeping does not to come to your room at all. We were instructed to leave dirty towels in the hallway and then go to front desk to retrieve clean towels ourselves! WTH?! The pool was okay but lacked decent seating, children ran the hotel unsupervised and you could hear the people above you as if you were in an apartment complex. I really don’t understand how they’re still in business. I wish I could have gotten a refund because that was the worse experience I’ve ever had in a hotel.

We found dried blood on mattress cover on other mattress sheet was hair . There was hair in the shower & toilet was dirty ! After 10pm no place to park ! There was dried food and soda on the phone and side table. Almost like no one actually cleaned the room. Do yourself a favor stay elsewhere.

I had 4 rooms on the 5th floor. Every room had mold in them. Mold was in every light socket, on the ceilings around the fire alarm, around and on the pictures on the walls. My room had mold on the walls. The humidity was terrible in the rooms. We kept the fan running constantly and it rattled. The first day the floors were slippery and wet from the humidity.

Our room was musty and smelled like mildew. It was so humid in the room, the cold AC couldn’t help. There was dirt on the floor in front of the shower and our hand soap dispenser was completely empty. Breakfast was pretty lame compared to other La Quinta’s and similar hotels like Hampton Inn. We would not choose to stay here again and would not recommend over other hotels.

Walking into the hotel it looks as if it is shiny and new, but was not the case when it came to the room. While upon first glance the room looked clean, it was not. There was mold/mildew along the base of the bed, mold on the fitted sheet covering the box spring, what looked like chew holes from a rodent in it as well, ac unit was COVERED in dust, under the chaise lounge chair in the corner was full of dirt/dust/food remnants, bathroom was visibly dirty, between the bed and wall was covered in dust/dirt/trash and also looked like there were rodent droppings behind there as well, and the water reservoir of the coffee maker was filthy. Pure negligence on cleaning. My husband and I don’t usually stay at La Quinta, but they were the only hotel close to our friend group also staying in Galveston that had availability. We wound up having to leave a little after 6 in the morning because of my allergies from being in there.

The staff were kind and helpful. There was mildew around a plug, some plugs did not work, a light flickered, there was hair on a towel, and the soap fragrance choice was gross figs and brown sugar. The bed was comfortable with clean crisp sheets, white fluffy pillows, the location was convenient, the bathroom was clean, the view of the ocean was okay, and parking was well lit and clean. The make your own Texas shaped waffles were great!

We were really disappointed with our stay. The biggest issue was the customer service. It was hard to find anyone at the front desk, and we often had to wait just to get help. Breakfast was exactly the same every morning with very limited choices, so it got repetitive after a couple of days. Whenever we called the front desk from our room, no one answered, which was very frustrating. Checking out was just as disappointing. There was no one at the front desk. We found a note telling us to drop our room keys in a box and that our receipt would be emailed to us. After we got home, we never received the email. I called the hotel at least 10 times, and no one answered. After a long wait, I finally reached someone. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. We expected much better and would not stay here again.
