"3 friends in a triple room for 2 nights. Perfect location for weekend in Portsmouth. Over the road from Gunwharf Quay shops and restaurants plus Historic dockyard. Flat walk, about 40 mins, to pier and beach. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed with nice bedding and modern shower room with nice towels. Delicious fry up in the morning. Plus great addition of free parking (although not for large cars or nervous drivers!)."

"From check in till departure staff were brilliant. Attentive ,curteous, knowledgeable. This is a hotel undergoing and undergone renovation. Not only in its physical sense but also in its service its guests. I hope to see the Spa reopen with pool. Not withstanding this a very pleasent stay and breakfast was great both in quantity and presentation. "

"Granted, it’s not the most lavish hotel room I’ve ever had but you simply can’t get a better location! Breakfast is included and Wi-Fi doesn’t require a pesky password. Shopping is right outside the door (the hotel is actually part of a shopping mall) and there are tons of restaurants around, many of which offer discounts to guests of the hotel. City center is walking distance. Isle of Wight ferry is also right there. Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Portsmouth for a visit or before a cruise. One word of warning: if you plan on taking the train to Portsmouth from Gatwick, do NOT expect a seamless journey! Between signal problems, train problems and a dizzying number of obstructions on the tracks, you will be delayed—happened to me twice."

"We couldn’t take full advantage of what the hotel had to offer. As it was a stopover. The room we stayed in was lovely. Also the view was lovely. Hopefully we can come again so we can enjoy the hotel for longer. "
