"Definitely a 5 star experience. Everything is clean and well maintained. Well trained staff. The room is spacious and the bed and linens are top notch! the breakfast is superb! The only thing that needs updating is the bath/shower. The pressure is fantastic but the drain can't keep up and the temperature is hard to regulate. Restaurants: Brisa do Mar, excellent. I would skip Villa Cipriani, food was average."

"The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and in an amazing part of Funchal. The rooftop pool And bar are absolutely unbelievable with the best views in town. The staff are incredible and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. Possibly needing a little TLC in some parts of the room. But do not let it put you off absolutely fantastic would definetly return"

"The property was very nice, but the common area were extremely outdated. The rugs were not clean for such a beautiful hotel. If they did a cosmetic rehab, it would be outstanding needs to be updated."
