Visit the historic old town of Syracuse, the small island of Ortygia. Immerse yourself in antiquity and archaeological finds and discover the Temple of Apollo and the unique baroque cathedral. The Ear of Dionysius and the Roman amphitheater are also popular attractions. Sniff the thousands of almond trees, taste sweet dates, feast on the island's wine and discover Sicilian cuisine and the beautiful beaches! Adventure-seekers can also go hiking in the Pantalica, Valle dell'Anapo and Torrente Cava Grande nature reserves, Cavagrande del Cassibile and Saline Priolo.
