Quiet end of Duval street

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Beach was small but nice, open air restaurant on beach. Grounds are nice. Room was very small for the price. Water and water pressure was awefull! I have very short hair that just matted in the shower and had to fight to get the matting out. Yes I use a good conditioner. Can't get on the beach after 11:00pm. Actually everything shuts down at 11:00pm. Resort is located at the quiet end of duval, far from where the happenings are. Put on a lot of walking miles. Drinks at the pool bars are expensive.would only recommend to someone that would appreciate the quietness and didn't care about the prices.

Hotel was right on the beach, short walk to Duval

Posted 11-Feb-2016
Pros: Location was great
Location: Close to all attractions, shopping, restaurants
we had arrived early, one of our party well under the weather, we asked if we could check in early, the hotel was more than accommodating, everyone else could use the resort, on check out day, another one of the party had the flu, they gave us a late check until she was feeling up to traveling.

Good choice

Posted 09-Feb-2016
Pros: Location was perfect and parking was easy and spacious.
Cons: We wouldn't change a thing.
Location: The hotel was easy to locate and very spacious. We definitely recommend the trolley to see all the island understand the history of Key West.
This hotel was exactly what we wanted. We had an easy walk to Duval Street, the shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy to get around and the trolley was less than a block away. We will definitely stay here again

Nice hotel but not good value

Posted 08-Feb-2016
Pros: pool, bars, staff.
Cons: The inside louvered shades are inadequate for such brightly lit exterior corridors. Our room was too bright while trying to sleep.
Location: Good location near beach. A bit far to walk to hub of activity on Duval...but not too bad.
This hotel is well located, has good bars and restaurants, and friendly staff. However, the overall value just isn't there. The high room rate is one thing...but the added fees are outrageous. For example, not only is there a jacked up resort fee, but there is a resort fee tax. In the end, $1,200 for two nights was too steep for what we experienced.

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was an unforgettable experience. Beautiful resort with all the amenities you could want. Close to the beach with a pool, bars, restaurants, and a spa. Staff were all wonderful! Highly recommend and we will be back. Truly felt like paradise.

Beautiful hotel with a nice beach

Posted 06-Feb-2016
My husband I stayed in a partial ocean view room in the southernmost resort. We don't have any complaints! The whole place was beautiful and clean. We took advantage of the great pools and bars and loved having a beach on the property. We didn't care much for the resturant but due to the great location we were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. Also, the staff was excellent. We will definetly return.

Nice hotel on the beach.

Posted 06-Feb-2016
Pros: It is a hotel on the beach, with big clean rooms, very comfortable.
Cons: The price - it is excessive.
The hotel is nice, rooms are comfortable. The hotel is situated on the beach, near the center. However, price and charges are excessive.

B & B within Key West Resort at the beach

Posted 05-Feb-2016
Pros: The staff, the food, and the Dewey House location: half a block from Duval St, right on the beach (one of the few in Key West).
Cons: Room shower leaked, bathroom door squeeked and the air conditioner rattled a bit, but these were picky little things in a truly outstanding experience
Location: Beach, pools, restaurant, exercise facilities ... all on-site. Main Key West attractions on Duval street a half block away.
We booked a room that we thought was garden view, but turned out it was on the parking lot. The website doesn't make it clear that Southernmost resort has two complexes: Southernmost Resort vs Southernmost ON THE BEACH. It wasn't clear that the room we had booked was a block away from the beach. The TV didn't work so the manager upgraded us to a room in the Dewey House B&B. THAT TURNED THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE AROUND! Dewey House and La Mer are a pair of award-winning B&B's that walk out to the beach and the excellent bar and grille restaurant on the water. The highlight of our stay was the Dewey staff including the manager Laura, and the two OUTSTANDING chefs, Amanda and Jessica, who prepared breakfast creations and early afternoon light lunch with lemonade, fresh fruit, cheese and breads. The main resort facilities included three pools, two bars, an exercise facility and a pier ... making our stay one of the best we have ever experienced. Hats off to Southernmost ON THE BEACH!
