Great location, staff, amenities

Posted 02-May-2016
This hotel has everything you need for a relaxing and fun vacation. We enjoyed all three pools and the direct beach access with complimentary chairs and umbrellas. There are plenty of games and activities...and hammocks to relax ocean front. The front desk was efficient and welcoming and they gave us some great recommendations. The location is great - on the quieter side of Duval but a short walk to all the attractions. Thanks for another great trip!

Beware of the beach

Posted 01-May-2016
Very rocky beach with sea urchins to the right of the pier. Urgent care did a nice job pulling out sea urchin spines out of my foot.

Hotel close to beach and town.

Posted 01-May-2016
Pros: conveniently close to beach and in town
Cons: see above
Room had some shortcomings. Area rug set on floor so that closet doors could not be fully opened. Bathroom door and toilet too close.

Nice hotel, clean, close to the beach ane activiti

Posted 29-Apr-2016
Pros: Location, cleanliness, the layout of the property, concierge services
Location: Rent a bike and you can explore the whole island. There is night life, shopping, fishing, whatever one is interested in doing.
We had a wonderful time. We rented bikes for the week which allowed us access to the entire island really. We enjoyed good food and service everywhere we went. One of our favorite restaurants was The Conch Republic. The "royal reds"( shrimp) were in season and they were delicious. The resort was completely relaxing, nice hammocks all over the property, several bars around the pool and beach area made it convenient to have a drink. We met several concierges during our stay and each of them were so helpful. We took "The Island Adventure" by Fury which was a lot of fun. It provided a day out on the boat, with stops for snorkeling and kayaking. We were disappointed that we could not take the trip to Tortuges, so I guess my only recommendation would be to advertise booking that trip in advance if one is interested. We will do it next time.

Just returned from a stay for 6 nights at Southernmost Beach Resort. The rooms, the grounds, the food, the service were all excellent. Any requests were taken care of immediately and the staff was extremely accomodating!!

Not what we hoped for

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Cons: Staff was not great when we arrived. They let us unload all our luggage and park the car before telling us we needed to drive to the room. no help
Location: Nice location
We were getting married and starting our honeymoon while we stayed at the Southernmost Beach resort. My biggest complaint was the balcony. We picked the place because we wanted a view of the Ocean. What we got instead was a view across the courtyard at the other balconies and into other rooms. There was zero privacy and nothing really blocks your balcony from the one next door. If you looked to the side you might have seen the ocean if the big palm tree were not there. It simply was not worth the money.

Fantastic hotel next to the beach

Posted 24-Apr-2016
The hotel is located on the beach a block from the famous buoy. The facilities were top notch and clean. The fitness room was even well appointed. My only complaints are the additional $36/day "fees" that we didn't know about until we checked in and some front Staff employees weren't very friendly or helpful. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Great Getaway Vacation

Posted 23-Apr-2016
Pros: The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are meticulous and our room was very clean and neat.
What a great resort for a get away vacation. It is in the most perfect location of all the island. It is close to the beach and pools, cafes and many attractions and it is out of the way from the craziness of upper Duval Street. There are many ways of getting around, so a car is not necessary. One is the Trolly that has a stop in front of the hotel and is a convenient way to see all the very interesting historical sights in Old Town of Key West. However, the hotel does have plenty of parking. Bicycles and mopeds are also another option to get around too.
