"The hotel was ok, the pool is kid friendly and not a party atmosphere.. We were expecting a pool party with good music. The music was an overall vibe kill along with kids jumping in and out of the water. The slot machines are pretty much all the same, not a lot of variety. Also, plan on bringing earbuds for sleep bc it is LOUD! I love Fremont St but won’t stay down there again. The strip is much better."

"room was clean. I like staying here. quieter than most of the Fremont Hotels. the only real complaint I have is the elevators dont seem to get any attention and generally are not the cleanest. Same with the parking garage stairs. Parking was nice and easy, stairs and doors were not clean"

"We enjoy staying at the Cal bc of all the local Hawaii people. Very comfortable. The only issue I had was that I did not know that if I book thru a third party....we don't get the coupon books for meals. I will rethink how I book my next stay at The Cal"
