We were not aware but we had booked the 'Romantic Package'- bottle of bubbly waiting for us and a box of chocolates, a lovely surprise. Delightful room with 4 poster bed. Ate in the evening, extensive menu and excellent food. Good breakfast and Buck's Fizz came with our package. Excellent service from everyone, good value for money. Very popular with locals so advisable to book a table if you want to eat there.

Really helpful staff, comfortable room and bed and easy to park. (I didn't have the breakfast). Would recommend.

I chose this hotel as I fancied a change from the B&B's I usually stop in when in the area. What a great choice that was the Staff were really nice and very helpful, the room was very clean and well furnished the food in the Bar area was really good. Wifi was fast as I had work to do. The TV had movies available to watch as this was a smart TV. Well Done Mayfield. Excellent place and I would stop again without any question.

Stayed here several times. The hotel is excellent, the staff are amazing, the food is so gorgeous - just too much of it ! The rooms (and we have several different ones) are warm, inviting and immaculate. All have TVs and tea making facilites with an ample choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all are en-suite and the bathrooms are spotless along with a good supply of towels and comp toiletries. Plenty of car parking space The only downside to this place is time passes too quickly...

Got to The Stsr early afternoon , stresses as the journey hadn’t been great , and was met by Jemma , who was lovely and said getting into the room early , wouldn’t be a problem . Great place so clean & spacious. Love it thanks again AAA Rich

Lovely hotel! Beautiful interior and comfy beds. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant were shut so that was only disappointing part. Other then that was lovely

brilliant place. staff were lovely, very friendly. i needed vegan options for breakfast and they were more than happy to accommodate. great location and easy parking behind the pub. would definitely stay again

I pleasant country pub with friendly staff and excellent food. The room was clean and comfortable. The porridge at breakfast was superb.

Warm, accommodating and helpful staff. Classy but still family friendly. Clean, stylish rooms and fabulous food in both restaurants. Close enough to Bridlington for the hustle n bustle but far enough from centre of town to be a peaceful retreat. After 4 visits, still my first choice of hotel when visiting Bridlington.

Four poster bed, creaking floor boards, higgledy-piggledy corridors, tranquil setting, great food, whats not to like. I spend around 40 nights away each year with work and it was so nice to be somewhere with character in the bucket loads and really good home made food, I loved it. WiFi was non existent in my room but good in the lounge, I was able to finish my book instead of working. Superb hosts to boot.

All staff made us very welcome Brilliant room and fantastic location. The only downside was we thought it was a dog free hotel. Maybe this was just in the bedrooms as we saw 3 large dogs at one table in the restaurant and another dog at the next table whilst we were waiting for food to be served. Our room was immaculate though and showed no signs of any pets having been in there. We were unable to use the shower as it just dripped out but as we were on a short stay we just used the bath...

Beautiful hotel, excellentnamd friendly staff, good food. Gorgeous bathrooms with huge tubs. Channon at reception was very informative and welcoming. Will def stay again.

A lot of thought and work has gone in to creating a wonderfully characterful hostel in a converted mill. Its location by a stream in a steep sided cove with a beach access except at higher tide is just magic. The staff are friendly and encouraging towards adult and children alike. Suitable for kids and adults with a good imagination.

We have just had a great 2 night stay here. The family room was huge, very clean and comfortable (the photos dont do it justice). Breakfast was perfect and we also had evening meals each night which were big portions. We found it a very friendly environment and enjoyed relaxing in the bar and playing pool. Great base for Whitby, Flamingo Land and Filey. We would definitely return.
