Overall good experience! The hostel arranged fun activities offering everyone a chance to get to know one another. Lovely hosts/staff that were happy to help you, always. Fresh bathrooms, nice bedding and good sized pods.

As far as hostels go, this one was premier. The staff are fantastic, the bathrooms were kept immaculate and plenty of facilities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was perfect from the view to the company. Theres a lounge area and breakfast has a great selection. Very central location and in walking distance from everything youd be doing in Edinburgh. I was extremely impressed. Thankyou kick ass hostels for a great base to recharge between...

There are actually two buildings, and having stayed in both, I definitely preferred the building located above Belushi's bar. The bathrooms and toilets there are newer and better maintained, and the room layout felt much less cramped. The main building (where check-in is located) features triple bunk beds, which made the room feel a bit tight and felt like it could use a little maintenance—but both buildings are secure and comfortable.
