Sitauted in the Pillerseetal Valley, in the Austrian state of Tyrol, the market town of Fieberbrunn makes for an idyllic winter holiday destination for all snow lovers. According to local legend, the town got its name (which translates as fever fountain) when a Tyrolean Countess was cured after drinking from the town’s local fountain.

Skiing and Snowboarding from Fieberbrunn Hotels

The ski resort of Fieberbrunn may not be as famous as many of the other ski resorts in Tyrol, or have as many miles of slopes, but it makes up for all that in quality and village atmosphere. And the smaller scale means the resort is less busy – so a hotel in Fieberbrunn is a great choice if you’re looking for a winter break in a quieter ski area.

In fact, Fieberbrunn is something of a hidden gem among Austrian ski resorts. Because it’s off the beaten track it has become a particular favourite with freeriders, snowboarders and deep snow skiers. The town even hosts a few international snowboarding events, such as Lords of the Boards and SNOWFEVER.
