Quirky hotel with a bit of history. Room was spacious but a bit worn. Hotel was a little noisy but not a problem. There was a pool, sauna and good facilities for families with children. Breakfast and dinner options were great and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly amongst the chaos. Location was great, lots to do in the area. A thoroughly decent stay but perhaps better for families with children rather than those travelling as a couple or solo.

The hotel was built on the site of an ancient castle and retains its medieval atmosphere. This gives the hotel a sort of magic and makes it beautiful both inside and out. The staff is very courteous and always available. The receptionists and restaurant waiters are always courteous and helpful. A special thanks goes to Giulia, who helped us with a problem we had on our last day. However, the interiors of the property are often dated and worn. The carpet in the room was old and sometimes dirty. The bathroom was spacious but definitely needed maintenance, such as flushing the sinks and removing unpleasant odors from the toilet bowl.

Very nice and quiet place to be, specially with children. The whole staff is very friendly and is open for any needs and questions. It's a really old building but they made the best out of it. The choice of food at the dinner could be better for children (for example there where no french fries or "Spatzle" available at the buffet). The Taverna Bar isn't open every day but the staff at the restaurant compensates that.

Beautiful hotel in a castle

A beautiful castle converted into a hotel in a beautiful small town. Lovely surroundings. Enough parking in and around. Everything is available within walkable distance. Inside the hotel is a nice swimming pool and jacuzzi pool + health center and sauna. Also, enough indoor activities to keep you busy if you wish to stay indoor. Food is great too and also a tavern right in the hotel.

The hotel has seen better day. While it is a nice building the rooms and facilities are in need for a thorough renovation. The food is average at best. In the three days we stayed at the hotel the evening buffet contained Wiener Schnitzel on two days. The vegetarian options are limited to pasta. The salat buffet is basic. Same is true for the breakfast.

Nettes Hotel, Zimmer sehr schön und großzügig, Personal sehr sehr nett und freundlich und sogar der deutschen Sprache mächtig! Allerdings überall im Hotel etwas Modernisierungsstau (unser Zimmer war aber bereits renoviert). Sauna bisschen sehr voll, waren aber auch in der Silvesterwoche dort! Beim Frühstück hat mir das frische Obst, ein paar Salate, etwas Fisch und die Abwechslung gefehlt.

Sehr nettes Personal, Sauberkeit sehr gut. Swimmingpool vorhanden. Gute Auswahlmöglichkeiten bei Frühstück. Zum nachbessern wäre Heizung im Zimmer. Nach Aufenthalt im Swimmingpool hätte ich gerne die Heizung im Zimmer aufdrehen wollen, hat aber nicht funktioniert (regnerischer Tag). Sonst aber gerne wieder. Schade, dass wir keine Pillersee Gästekarte bekommen haben.
