"This is a wonderful property with so many great amenities. We were in town for a wedding so it was a quick trip and we were away most of the evening. Would have loved to have more time to stay. "My wife and I chose Castel Hortenberg for our stay in Bolzano, and we were blown away from the moment we arrived through our departure. Secure parking with private gates. "I couldn’t figure out how to get the air conditioner to work but thankfully it wasn’t too hot and I left the windows cracked open during the night for cool air. I’m sure it was my user error & wouldn’t count this as a negative for the hotel. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and in a great location. Highly recommend and I’d definitely stay again! "

Only downside was the pool which could only be used by families between 2 and 3.30pm which is no good if you are out skiing. "This is such a charming place tucked away by a sweet lake with swimming and shade. We thought we had booked a place with the same name on Lake Molveno so were initially disappointed when we arrived to a different hotel/lake. But it turned out to be much nicer for us, more relaxed, less busy, more authentic. The room was spacious with a nice kitchen, large bathroom, nice balcony overlooking the lake and mountains, and comfortable bedding. The breakfast was generous and the staff was very helpful....
