"Until now, I had not written a review of a hotel, and felt this time was important to do. Cleanliness is very important to me and my husband, and our room was immaculate. The owner was extremely kind, and went out of his way to help. We had made reservations at the last minute, after having a negative experience with a vacation rental. "Very smooth check in and check out. Staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is centrally located in Merida Centro, walking distance to Cathedral and plaza. There are some good restaurants within a few blocks from the hotel. The standard room is a decent size with a large bathroom. Hot water, aircon, TV all worked fine. There is a small table and chair. Would have liked another chair! Included breakfast was good, nice sized pool."

"Roselia is an amazing host and she has a beautiful heart. The rooms are in a great location. I enjoyed walking downtown, and the bus route is also easy and direct. Grocery stores, the stadium walking track and other amenities are nearby - walking distance. There is a laundromat just around the corner, down the street. The room was comfortable and spacious, I did a lot of remote work during my two week stay. The outdoor shared kitchen was a lovely space to cook in and enjoy. It has a blender, coffee machine, pots and pans, cutlery etc. The neighbor has a little dog on the other side of the wall who quickly got used to me being there and was fun to see from a distance now and then, the neighbors are very sweet as well. I felt safe in the area as a woman travelling on my own, and Roselia was very sweet to make sure I checked in safely the night I arrived, and welcomed me on location. It was also a treat to spend time with her during the trip. I’d definitely recommend the rooms she offers and would stay again."

"This is a small, but lovely and convenient boutique hotel in the hotel zone. Very convenient location and next door to a bakery and restaurant and 1/2 block to a 7-11. I would have given it all 5 stars except it would have been better to have some small, even tiny, desk in the room to work at but there was none so I had to work on my computer in bed. Also, it could have been better with a tiny micro-fridge to keep drinks cold. To their credit, they did have a small fridge nearby in the lobby that guests could keep a few items cold. But a room fridge would have been better. It was not expensive at all and I'd have cheerfully paid a bit more for a fridge or small work area."
