"I had a nice stay till the bill had nearly £299 of service charges on and when my partner paid in cash for a round of drinks they also added it to the room trying to make us pay twice abit of a let down tbh "

"The hotel is well located for access to the town, shops and bars. There are also a lovely walk behind the hotel on the old railway line to Threlkeld as well as down round the lake. The room was very clean and breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of parking "

"Signs of deterioration on inside of exterior walls in room. I guess to be expected with the age. A bit offputting. All staff courteous and helpful, bar staffed as and when tbh. Isolated. A 2 mile rustic, pleasant, mainly downhill stroll to Bowness town centre. Taxi back haha. Overall a nice stay "

"Lovely polite friendly staff. spotless spacious room with a pretty view & lovely little touches throughout the hotel. Free onsite parking, Spa was a real treat - open til 8pm which is fab after a day of exploring. Only negative was the coffee at breakfast was very weak but coffee machine was better! "

"It was a nice experience there, my room was upgraded to a suite and it was great, views from the room was magical, room was clean and spacious , bathroom was clean and it had a jacuzzi, the spa session was beautiful and relaxing, pool was warm, breakfast was delicious and staffs were nice"
