The Sutton Place Hotel Halifax

8/10 Good

"Had a good sleep. Comfortable beds. Rooms appear nice, but they aren’t being maintained well if you look close. Drapes have obvious stains. The ottoman at end of bed is missing buttons. So certainly not a major deal, but the property needs some TLC to keep it in luxury segment they are going after. Parking is $45 for valet. Or free on the street less than 2 minute walk. Just make sure you pay for parking starting at 8am on the street if applicable."

Moxy Halifax Downtown

8/10 Good

"Nice new hip hotel. The rooms were fun with lots of added features. Lounge was nice. Staff were excellent very helpful and friendly. I would say one thing the hotel could add would be a desk in more of the rooms. I was staying for work trip and needed a desk in my room. Some of the rooms are a bit small as well. Overall a good stay and the hotel is well located with walking to downtown and sites very easy. Breakfast was not included but the free coffee every morning was definitely appreciated. Also parking is quite expensive luckily we decided to just uber from the airport and not bother with a car rental for this trip. Saved money from daily parking rates at the hotel."
