Lovely hotel would definitely go again a nd recommend to others. Nice location 10 minute stroll from Princes Street and gardens and 25 minutes from Royal Mile and castle. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Clean hotel and food especially evening meal(steak) the best I've ever tasted. Great weekend all round.

Quiet hotel with easy walk to the city centre

Posted 18-Mar-2017
Pros: The position of the hotel was excellent. Quiet, but within easy access of the main city centre. We could walk everywhere.
We stayed for three nights in March. The hotel was fairly quiet and the hotel staff very accommodating. We did not have any meals except for the continental breakfast buffet which was quite sufficient with juices, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Toast, croissant, pan au chocolate and decent enough coffee. Ham and cheeses and large fresh bread rolls. Our room was large with a super king bed facing the front. All was neat, clean and in good condition.

Beautiful, peaceful, friendly hotel.

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: The grand, peaceful, tasteful yet homely atmosphere.
Cons: Minor things such as more teabags and milk in the room and some additional bathroom things such as shower caps, cottonwool buds etc.
Location: Handy to everything.
The Bonham is like staying in a large, gracious home with friendly hosts and an excellent dining experience. We were delighted with our experience and would love to return.

Wedding Anniversary Weekend

Posted 06-Mar-2017
My wife and I had a wonderful two nights. When we arrived they had upgraded our room to one with a fantastic view. The room was spacious and had a very large double bed. We hadn't booked anywhere for dinner on the first night and the staff rang a local Italian for us and got us a table and a free glass of prosecco for our anniversary. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the second night and the staff and food was amazing. They also gave us a complementary glass of prosecco. The chef also wished us a happy anniversary on a slate plate with the best macaroons we've ever tasted. We will definitely return.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. This was our first trip with our dog and it could not have been better. Only point is that there is no mention of charges for dog on hotel.com site

Bed was a bit old. My side fell away at an angle, so I felt like I was falling off the bed. Service and concierge were excellent. Food was good.
