Fantastic room and delicious breakfast

Room was spacious and very nicely furnished. Able to park car nearby. Very accommodating staff regarding special requirements for breakfast. Lovely lounge with Sunday papers.

Good hotel, service excellent, room comfortable.

Pros: location and excellent value and comfort.
Location: Within half an hour's walk of city centre, next to new Comonwealth pool and close to Arthur's seat. Newington has some good restaurants and bars too.
Wasn't too sure how good this would be as it is on University accommodation site but the hotel was very good. Our luxury roomm was very comfortable and we enjoyed a varied and substantial breakfast. Lovely surroundings and a great view of Arthur's Seat.

Nice place to sleep and have breakfast.

Very basic room. Location to where a family member was staying was key. Wonderful staff and great breakfast. I booked just a basic room. Nothing fancy, decent value.

Good as a base

Posted 22-Dec-2016 on Hotels
As a base for sightseeing it was great. My only complaint was that there was no where in the hotel (other than in the rooms) to get drinks through out the day. Other than that the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room clean

Friendly staff

The hotel was a little out of the town so ok if you don't mind a walk. There was a very good breakfast included in the price. However the bed was small and not very comfortable, neither my husband or myself slept very well. The heating was up very high and the room was very stuffy.

Never judge a book by its cover

Pros: Expedia
Cons: Air con....if warm
Location: Common wealth pool, Edinburgh all attractions 20 mins walk away
This is an excellent place to stay! Had a twin delux room, fantastic. Comfy beds, clean, all additions like nice tea and coffees, lovely bathroom! The only down side was the view! No worries we were there to explore Edinburgh and to swim! Some noise early AM and guess rooms might be warm in summer and would not like windows open.
