The room was clean and well organised,really quiet,and close to supermarket (lidl and asda), AT 15min from the city Center with bus stop close by. There was a private kitchen for 5 rooms which was really handy. We had access to a laundry that was cheap and it was very useful. Only negative point: the absence of television in the room.

Edinburgh Weekend Trip
3 day stay to visit my daughter. Just needed a place to sleep at night. Basic student room. Spotlessly clean.Communal sitting area / kitchen with everything needed to self cater. No TV. Previous reviews mentioned poor insulation / noise but maybe I was just lucky as I had no issues. Parking on street outside permitted between 5.30 pm and 8.30 am. Would definitely stay again.(Assume only available outwith Uni term time.) Good Price for Edinburgh where >£200 per night is the norm.

Had a great stay, staff was lovely. Was a bit worried about the noise after reading some reviews but was lucky enough to have a quiet stay. There’s a kitchen for each 5 bedrooms or so which I never used and the bed was comfy. Wifi was amazing and I was working from there so it was perfect. There’s a lobby in the main reception building with foosball and a tv, which I found pretty cool. I stayed in the building across the street and the location is perfect. Many supermarkets and cafes within a 5 min walk. The bedroom could be a bit cleaner maybe but not too bad. I think mostly was due to wear and tear so maybe not even possible to clean any better. There’s no tv so ensure you take a book or something otherwise you’ll be bored. The only callouts: please put a bin in the bedroom or bathroom. Also the bathroom’s light works via sensor so don’t be a fool like me looking for a switcher that simply isn’t there! :) Overall it’s great value for money and will definitely stay there again!

The staff here are very friendly and helpful, like so so so friendly. If you are comfortable with this type of lodging and just appreciate it for what it is, this is one of the better experiences you will have.

This was student accommodations, so don't expect too much of it. There were two of us, so there was a bit of a space problem when keeping our luggage in the room. The sink water pressure was low. Otherwise, it was convenient for its location.

Very uncomfortable, hard bed!!
Very basic, simple accommodation. The bed was advertised as a double. It was not. I’d call it a large single, or a small double, but certainly not a standard double. It was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I did not get one good nights sleep whilst there. I complained to reception who said they’d add an extra duvet under bottom sheet. This never happened. The ensuite was very small. The shower cubicle was tiny, which made showering hard. The shower head didn’t fit on holder properly, which was also an issue. On a positive note, water was always hot, and very powerful. The room was quiet, apart from when neighbouring rooms got back, which is to be expected. Location was decent enough, with buses into the centre only a short walk away.

Great place to stay on a budget
Overall, we had a really good stay. The price and location are excellent. Check in was easy and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was as expected, nice and clean and a decent enough size for us to use as a base for a few nights away. As other reviewers have mentioned, we only got two pillows for two people. If it is possible to choose, I would recommend NOT staying on the ground floor or facing the road that reception is on as the noise from cars, talking, people coming and going and the cleaning carts is very loud most of the time.

Very uncomfortable bed
The bed was very uncomfortable and small, smaller than a standard double. Only one very flat pillow each. We were only able to get one extra pillow between the two of us. The room was small, dark and always too warm, even with the window open all night, a very uncomfortable sleep. Stained towels. Upside great location and staff were really nice.

Terrible comfort.
Would not recommend this accommodation, and I’m not that picky! Advertised as a double bed, it was not a full double - perhaps a slim double or enlarged single. My partner and I just about managed. The mattress was the worst I’ve ever encountered, the pillows were worse than useless and the fridge contained rotten bananas. The staff at the front desk were helpful and supplied extra pillows, but even then. It is cheap, somewhat cheerful but woefully uncomfortable.

Good Budget Stay

Like sleeping in a technopop rave.
While the hotel is nice; one wing of the hotel is under the hotel bar/discotheque. Tecnopop was playing right above us way to loud to sleep. When I went to the front desk they said “yeah, that room is loud, but there is nothing they can do.” Nothing! Seriously! They know the problem; they just don’t care. Maybe another floor would be better, but don’t take the chance. If you have a problem, chances are the won’t care about that either. Zero effort to address our concerns or compensate our discomfort and loss of sleep. Avoid like the plague.

Good place for low budget
The place is nice, very cheap comparing to other stays in Edinburgh. The bed was a bit too small for a couple. It seemed like a normal double but it felt smaller… no fridge in the room. It’s not a hotel so everything was great. I noticed some mold on a shower cap and holder that was a bit sad although in general it was clean. Also the pillows were thin and not comfortable and the window had limiters so we couldn’t open it full. As I said it’s not a hotel and the price was very competitive so I am happy in general as the trip wasn’t planned. Would be a great fit for budget travelers.

Pros: - It's very cheap for Edinburgh - Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - There's a Lidl and a Tesco basically next door - The flat was very clean Cons: - The bed is a small double, so a bit of a squeeze for two of you. - It's a good 25 minute walk up a hill to the Royal Mile All in all though, it's great value for money.

A room was extremely small, definitely is not enough for 2 adults. It was very hot in the room, but there was no option to open a window. There was a sign that the window is blocked "for your own safety". The mattress was very uncomfortable.There are no amenities in the room at all , even a garbage bin. It is a typical student dorm, not an alternative to a hotel room, though the price is high.

Revisiting Edinburgh
Stayed for five nights with friends and found the accommodation just what we required, simple accommodation that allowed self catering if required in a congenial environment. Laundry facilities were a plus and easy to use. Very central location with easy access to supermarkets and transport also enhanced the stay.

The room was dusty and the floor was filthy when we got there there was also used sanitary products in our bin which shows that it wasn’t cleaned our shower was also broken and flooded our bathroom which it took them over an hour to fix and clean without replacing our towels. The bathroom also had a really bad smell which made it almost unusable the room was also very hot all the time even with the window open all the time with no air conditioning. The bed was also not very comfortable and made it had to sleep
