Nicely decorated room, cozy with a large bathroom which was lovely. Helpful, friendly staff. Could do with a blanket or two for extra warmth instead of putting the heating up in the room and nicer smelling cleaning liquid for cleaning the bathroom but these are small things. The most useful addition would be breakfast. It was a great place to stay in a good location.

Lovely hotel, located 10 min away from the city centre on a lovely quiet street. Situated very closely to the National Portrait Gallery on one side and a fantastic small Scandinavian bakery on the other. The staff was very friendly, the room was very big and clean and the beds were comfortable. There were some occasional noise from the room above (floors were squeaky). Excellent value for money.

Perfect distance to everything we wanted to do. A short walk to the Royal Mile, easy access to the airlink route and lots of restaurants and cafes very close! Very quiet and comfortable room with plenty of space. Staff were lovely also.

The hotel is lovely and has a wonderful history. The staff was friendly and helpful. Claire esp went above and beyond! Internet was spotty and inconsistent. The rooms were very warm and temp couldn't be adjusted easily. Location in New Town and near the tram made getting around very easy. Plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, and a mall nearby!

The room was okay. For a freshly refurbished hotel, the walls were quite stained and dirty. My biggest downside of the room was the lack of a safe. I have never been to a hotel anywhere without a safe. The location is quite central to the rest of the city. The staff is nice, but there is no elevator and they do not offer help to transport your luggage- so if you have a bad back or something of that effect, you should probably reconsider this property. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. Not a 5 star hotel by any means, but gets the job done.

This hotel room went beyond my expectations, the room was very spacious and clean. The toilet was amazing including a bath and a shower which definitely made my stay even better. I was very impressed with the quality of the hotel for the price paid. It was only 10 mins walk from the train station. I will definitely recommend and I will be booking here soon again. Only thing to improve: there was no fridge and there was a missing piece in our toilet sink but none of this affected our stay
