Great location, lovely staff, very comfortable room

Posted 03-Feb-2016
Pros: Welcoming, helpful staff. Location. Feel of the place.
Cons: A bath as well as a shower would have been the icing on the cake.
Location: Less than 10 minutes walk to the tram and Haymarket Station. 5 minutes' walk to the museum of modern art.
Hotel just as described. Lovely period feel in the public rooms, library was a welcoming space and nice to have coffee/tea/water available. The room was very spacious, comfy bed, nice to have a sofa too. Convenient location, quiet enough but walking distance to all the main tourist spots and public transport.

First visit across the pond

This place was a great place to stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Learning about the history of the building and Dean Village behind it made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

nice hotel

Posted 22-Dec-2015
nice hotel, very accessible to city centre and some restaurants, very friendly staff especially "Laura" who helped us a lot when our daughter got sick. It would have been a perfect experience if there was a restaurant inside the hotel, so we can just relax and stay home to have dinner.

Fin beliggenhet i stille gate Juletur

Posted 13-Dec-2015
Pros: Gammel ærverdig bygning med sjel. Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening. Nydelig engelsk frokost .
Cons: Kan ikke se noe som kunne forbedres
Location: Lå i en stille gate og bare noen minutters gange fra sentrum med butikker og gode spisesteder.
Var på tur med venninner for å oppleve førjulstid i Edinburgh. Flott by som hadde mye å by på. Derfor valgte vi et hotell nær sentrum

City centre a stones throw away

Posted 05-Dec-2015
Pros: The lovely big room, no, the beautiful stained glass windows, no, the convenience, no the library.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Really central but away from the noise of night life and NOT on a cobbled street so much quieter at night.
Great place to stay, huge room, lovely breakfast, great lounge area and a library with books. Very easy walk from Haymarket Station, and car parking (on meters) quite close. Very convenient for Princes Street and all that area. Only negative about the B+B was that the room was too hot for us, but the radiators responded to being turned down, so not really an issue. Only other downside was outside their control, being country bumpkins the nighttime car alarm and police sirens of the city disturbed us! Staff very relaxed, friendly and professional.

Lovely B+B - close to the city centre

Posted 05-Dec-2015
Pros: The library, the bar and the breakfast!!
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect!
Location: Within walking distance to the city centre, the Christmas market was fantastic. The castle was about a 10 minute walk away.
Great staff, very helpful. Lovely breakfast with lots of choices including a traditional Scottish breakfast. Room was modern, comfortable and clean, with some traditional features as well. The library is not to be missed!! This building is beautiful with some really lovely rooms for relaxing in and a small bar on the ground floor which my partner and I enjoyed a nice bottle of wine after our day. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

B&b 3 rothesay terrace Edinburgh

Posted 01-Dec-2015
Pros: Everything! A great experience
Cons: Bathroom could be a bit bigger but not a great problem
Location: Ten minute walk to shops in princes street. Also reliable bus service very nearby.
The hotel was exceptional, spacious room, beautiful decor, with outstanding original features. The photographs on the website were exactly as the reality. The library is a comfortable and very pleasant place to relax. Great to have complimentary bottles of water available at all times. Service in the bar was very good, with complimentary snacks! Only drawback was the kettle in the bedroom having to be on the floor as the flex was not long enough to reach the table.
