"Hotel was reasonable price for the area. We stay at LaQuinta’s often and enjoy them. This property as on the smaller side, seemed like it was either an old building or needed some updates. The website listed a pool, but it was not on site. You have to go over to the hotel next door to use theirs. "

"What a beautiful property right at the base of the slope! Even though it was summer, there was plenty to do on property, and we took quite a few hikes off property as well as explored the downtown area. The front desk team was fantastic. We had a minor issue with our washer not working and the speed with which they responded and took care of the issue was amazing! The unit was fantastic! We could not have been more comfortable during our stay. We will definitely be returning!"

Poor Communication

"12 hours before our arrival time we receive an email from the Anna that after the 1st night we would have to checkout and change rooms. This was going to be a huge inconvenience to us. We had planned on skiing all day and had purchased groceries as well. We tried to explain this and Anna was unapologetic and did not care the inconvenience would cause us. Luckily for us we had a very kind gentlemen help us at check-in and worked with the owners management to arrange for us to stay in the same room. I see there was another review for Anna where she canceled their reservation entirely 24 hours out. Luckily for us this did not happen but renters beware.Hotel is great and staff was lovely and you can not beat the location! "

Excellent & affordable with short walk to base!

"This property checked all of our boxes and was a wonderful set up for our family of five! Rooms & 2 bathrooms are downstairs near the laundry closet and ground level front door/private parking garage, which made it so easy to peel off our ski clothes and get them into the wash at the end of a long day of skiing, followed by a hot shower, then head upstairs for dinner in the well-stocked kitchen and some time relaxing on the sectional sofa in the living room. We all agreed this was a great location- we have stayed in other condos nearby and know this area well but have paid far more to be 50 feet closer to the base- not necessary when you can stay somewhere just as nice and still SUPER walkable with an 8, 10, & 12 year old! We even sent messages to the host and received lightening fast replies- VERY accommodating and helpful and obviously experienced with vacation rentals. Cannot say the same about the other places we have stayed in the past so kudos to this unit for having a host who knows what they’re doing! We come yearly to Steamboat to ski and we will definitely be back to this unit! Just hope the secret doesn’t get out that this is a hidden gem and it books up before we can get back…"
