The customer service was truly above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced – every staff member went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The breakfast snacks were outstanding and a wonderful touch that made the mornings even better. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others. It's a 1940s-era building with all the quirks you might anticipate--smallish rooms, limited counter space, etc. However, it also has all the ambience of an inn you might find in Austria--library-like lobby, fireplace, sounds coming in from the street, etc. A handfull of larger rooms are available for familes. The rooms are small but for my husband and I for 3 days it was just fine. The staff is very nice and helpful. They had free bikes available to borrow and a water cooler in the lobby. The water was an unexpected bonus. We were able to easily fill up water bottles and bladders before hikes without having to go buy water.
