"A Fantastic Hotel Close to the Heart of Mong Kok"
Everything from check-in to check-out was absolutely sublime. When I arrived by taxi, a bellhop quickly whisked my luggage away as I made my way to the check-in counter. The staff at the check-in counter are fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English and can easily interchange between all three. I felt really well taken care of by the staff.
My friend told me that the hotel has a very high occupancy rate, something like 94-98%, and as expected, the hotel was overbooked, but that worked out in my favor, as I got bumped from Plaza Deluxe to Club Deluxe, which also includes access to Royal Club. The nineteenth floor is a little confusing to get to at first. The elevator only goes up to the eighteenth floor and in order to get to the nineteenth floor, I had to walk up the stairs and through the Club Lounge every time to get to my room. Despite the trek, the room is well-appointed. The wall outlets in the room are UK/HK type, but there is an international power adapter in the desk and, if needed, more can be requested. In the bathroom, there is a single 110V outlet. The stand-in shower is also separate from the bathtub.
The Health Club level on the eighth floor. The gym is cleaned very often and is almost empty during off-peak hours. The sauna and steam room could be a little bigger though.
The front desk is helpful, but can get quickly overwhelmed, especially when tour buses drop off guests or in the mornings when people need to check out.
