Le batiment est sordide. L’entrée de l’établissement aussi. Le couloir des "chambres" ressemble à un débarras. Tout est moche, abîmé ou non fonctionnel.. C’est hyper bruyant. Si petit qu’on peut juste poser un sac mais pas une valise ouverte. 4 ceintres accrochés à la porte pour les vêtements et rien pour poser quoi que ce soit. Les murs sont sales, les fenêtres de la salle de bain ne ferment pas bien et il fait glacial à cette période. La clim ne fonctionne pas en mode chauffage. Les serviettes de bain sont en microfibres et n’essuient pas. Le lit est très dur car le matelas est très fin et posé sur surface dure. Il y a un espace entre le mur et la porte qui laisse passer la lumière toute la nuit. La "table de nuit", unique endroit pour poser une bricole est un "meuble" de coin de douche en plastique. Refused to allow me to use their phone outside the lobby to contact Wotif. I had to go and buy a new SIM card to call and email Wotif. Found out that there are no other guest at the hotel. Received an email 30 minutes to midnight after much hassle and I have already booked another hotel to inform me that they received the booking 5hrs late and that they have staff at the reception at 11:30pm!!! I had to pay extra for the prepaid sim, another taxi to the next hotel and also other hotel fee! I now have received the email from Wotif to say that the hotel will not refund but because I am a Wotif loyal customer, Wotif will refund the hotel fee themselves. Who is to cover my other expenses??? The place is located off of Jordan Road that can be entered from Parkes or Pilkem St. Overhead there is a sign on the building entrance that says "Lucky House." There are four elevators, two in one area and two a bit further down. The office is located on the fourth floor. The office is open from 11am to 9pm, any other time I believe you have to call for assistance to check-in. There is an express check-out to drop off your key in the office if it is outside those hours. I was then given my room which was on another floor. There is a security gate to unlock with the key, down a short corridor, past another door where three of the rooms are located. This door uses a proxy card as well as the room I would stay in, which was I had to squeeze my way past a storage locker. The room... was tiny. There was some floor space when I entered, a bathroom where the toilet and sink are in the shower room, and a bed that went from one wall to the other. There is a reason they used a fisheye lens to take a photo of the room! This place is meant for resting and cleaning up, not to stay in all day. (I noticed they now call it a hostel) The place was kept up well, the sheets were clean, AC worked, free WiFi, no problem with noises. The location is great. The Jordan MTR station is a block away, as well as the A22 bus that goes right to the airport.
