"Close to the beach nice area,the room was clean ,staff were friendly, comfy bed heater in room .hotel needs updating, it was alright for one night at the price we paid ."

"Nice clean room on 4th floor with great sea view. Breakfast was delicious. Nice and central with easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants . You will need a restaurant for your evening meal as the hotel restaurant becomes a cabaret bar in evening. It does seem to be Drag artist Cabaret every night,if you like that. We would stay again."

"The swimming pool was a welcome addition as the sea was too cold and choppy to swim in. The towel rail was heated, there was a heater and TV and kettle in the room. A shower and toilet en suite. All for £50 a night. Bargain "

"Team really friendly and helpful, liked the decor throughout the main areas, it was unique and pleasing to the eye. Hot water on demand and a good breakfast in the morning. Hotel situated close to eastbourne seafront and the town centre. An enjoyable experience for my mother and me, thank you."

"Always welcoming and a properly staffed reception. Lovely rooms at the front. Stocked bar with a very handy pizza & beer offer for £12. Quality linens in the rooms. Unrestricted parking 50yds away. The Strand has become my 'go to' for Eastbourne and I usually stay there twice a month (having tried 7 or 8 other hotels along the strip). "

"The room was basic. Mattress stained. It was out of season but disappointed that there was no one on reception for a lot of our stay. I think we was only ones in hotel.when we was going out Saturday morning there was nobody around and we had to ring number on website to get someone to come to reception. Didn't sleep well Friday night so decided to come home Saturday instead of staying at the hotel another day. ☹️"
