An ok hotel with a good location

Posted 03-Mar-2017
The many stairs kept us fit . You could see the sea beyond the scaffolding ! The room itself was ok but we did have trouble flushing the loo & boiling the kettle ! Despite this the hotel has a strange charm and located next to a very reasonably priced car park

Tidy and welcoming hotel in a great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room is clean and comfortable. Couldn't ask any more for the very reasonable price. Would stay again! :)

Think twice

Posted 13-Dec-2016 on Hotels
Hotel was covered in scaffolding when we arrived but there did not seem to be any ongoing works. There is parking outside but at a high cost and the hotel did say they could provide parking for a fee but this is not advertised anywhere prominent. The room was cold (radiator was hidden behind a cupboard) with very dated and worn furniture although the shower and toilet looked new and were in a portioned off part of the room. Unfortunately there were a lot of extension leads behind the bed and to the TV and fridge (for the kettle). The continental breakfast the next morning consisted of a large jug of apple juice and orange juice and a large jug of milk (origin, type and date unknown). There was bread for toast with some pre packaged jams and marmalade and butter/margarine, and some boxed cereals and a range of fruit that looked on its way out. There was a range of tea bags and coffee was caffeinated and in an already opened box so not sure if it was the 'real deal' and some processed ham and cheese. You could also have water from a machine so I suppose that was ok. You had to leave your plates on the table and they were periodically picked up by a grumpy looking young lady. Interaction with staff was minimal and I suppose you could say you get what you pay for but to be honest I've had better service for a Travelodge.

Overall was a nice hotel to stay in, other then the face we had to walk up and down 8 flights of stairs when we went out, spacious rooms and very friendly staff, great location 5 mins from the shopping centre beach and clubs, highly recommend

Pros: location was great over looking Regency Square and views of sea
Cons: the one thing that should be improved is the shower ...had to run water for ten minutes before hot water can out of shower head.
Location: excellent location in Regency Square one minute walk to sea front just far enough from main road so as not to hear traffic noise late at night. All k
I choose superior triple room as we were three adults ,and found it to be very comfortable, the room and beds were clean Continental breakfast was ok

Shower controls need fixed

Posted 17-Oct-2016
Pros: Location is great. 2 mins to the waterfront and the i360 tower. Train station 15 min walk. City centre 5 min walk.
Cons: Just the shower.
Location: See above.
The shower was very slow. The controls didn't work very well. Apart from this everything was fine.
