"Pleasant stay"
We were visiting family so used hotel as a base. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast tasty and good quality. Our room was made up if half a larger room which made it feel a bit pokey but the bed was comfortable. We did not try to spar or pool. Probably not best value for our visit but a solid quality hotel.

"Very good but could have been excellent"
No information given at check in; I'm not physic and so wasn't to know you have to turn the TV on in the hotel room to get all the hotel information. Reception lady made me feel like I was being a pain when I phoned up a few times for various things. Also hair dryers in changing rooms missing and the ones that are there are old and not powerful with no concentrator nozzzles....it's the little things that make a place outstanding. The views however are most certainly outstanding. Room took along time to heat up. Hotel felt cold through out - would advise Warner duvets in winter. Or at least a blanket in the rooms. Overall all very lovely hotel though! Lovely pool and bar area, which I enjoyed.

"Perfect hotel for Brighton"
We wanted a hotel near the beach and the lanes. This was perfect for our needs as it had a carpark and lifts for a buggy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The problem was the air con unit was quite loud and because our room overlooked the atrium we could not open the windows at night because of the bar noise. However with a small baby who doesn't sleep through out the night it didn't concern us too much.

"Would have been a 5/5 but there were a few issues."
Had a few issues at this hotel (Nothing major) but not sure if it was the hotels fault for a couple or Expedia. Booked a specific room (Sea View Corner Suite) and specified that I would like to confirm that there was a bath in the bedroom before following through with the booking. Expedia confirmed that there was a bath in the bedroom and that they had confirmed with the hotel and made a note about it on the account. Turned up and was given my room number and key upon checking in, wen't up to my room and I had a different room that not only didn't have a bath in the bedroom but it didn't even have a bath in the bathroom. I went down to ask about it and luckily had the not on the booking to show that it was confirmed that the room I had booked came with a bath in the bedroom. I was given a new room within about 20 minutes and moved into it. The Sea View Corner Suite is awesome, the only issue I had was that one of the windows was blocked by scaffolding, so we had to have the blinds drawn on that part. I believe that might have been why we were given a different room to begin with (Higher up room had no scaffolding) but it would have been nice to have been warned that there was building work going on. As we left for dinner the staff apologised for the mix up and stated that they would deliver a bottle of wine to the room for us, they didn't have to but wanted to. This was never actually acted upon and nothing was dropped off at the room.

"nice hotel, has seen better days, needs tlc update"
picked night of storm Angus, dramatic, whistling wind, white-foam lashing seafront - but very atmospheric Erevivinjoyed period feel and room was clean, comfortable, and had sea view - driving rain and fairy lights leaping in the gale! Check-in took forever and buffet breakfast was a bit lukewarm and bacon a bit sad. But staff were helpful and kindly let me leave luggage in cupboard following day, after checkout, so that I could enjoy a brisk walk along the promenade. I would stay there again - but would like to see some restoration and reviving of features such as stained glass windows on stairwell, new blinds and carpeting, but appreciate problems of countering salty sea air and heavy customer footfall.

"All one could ask of a hotel"
We felt warm, safe, and comfortable. The lobby and reception area was rather small and chaotic as was the breakfast room but it was a nice place to stay. The room was fine, very clean, but no drawers.

Pocket Guide: Spa Hotels in East Sussex

Spa hotels are perfect for relaxing weekends away with the girls, mother-daughter breaks and luxury hen dos. There's plenty of relaxation therapy for men too, so whatever occasion you're planning, there are plenty of spa hotels in East Sussex to give you lots of choice. Giving you superb facilities, exquisite treatments and some much-needed rest and relaxation, a spa hotel is the ideal place to spend a de-stressing break.

What You Get from an East Sussex Spa Hotel

The very least you can expect from your spa hotel is a range of amenities such as a sauna, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. In addition to this, the majority will also offer a variety of spa treatments that can be booked before you arrive or after you've checked in. These can include massage, facials, manicures, pedicures and other therapies to have you completely relaxed and looking even more radiant.

In your room, you can expect a touch of luxury with sumptuous furnishings, elegant styling and a gleaming bathroom. The majority of spa hotels have a restaurant and bar on-site as well, so you can enjoy a fantastic meal and some bubbly after your treatments to celebrate your occasion - whether that's toasting the bride-to-be or just a weekend away from it all.

Nights Out near Spa Hotels in East Sussex

Although you're there for some much needed pampering, you may not want to spend your entire break in the hotel. If you are with a hen party or out on a mother-daughter weekend, you will probably want at least one night out on the town! The resort towns of Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne are perfect for this, with plenty of bars and restaurants and easily accessible by taxi or public transport if you're staying out of town.

You may be just out for a meal or it could be a full night of dancing, either way once you're ready to head back, you'll have a luxurious room to sleep in and perhaps even more unwinding spa treatments the next day. Whatever the reason or occasion, East Sussex has a spa hotel that's perfect for some serious pampering and 'me' time.
