Nice hotel close to Edinburgh
Nice but old hotel under the Forth railway bridge. Trains made a small amount of noise. The staff were attentive and the food good.

The property is very old which I was okay with but they really need to do some updates. I love that the building is 200 years old but it hasn't seen any updates for the past 100. I won't complain about the odor because of the buildings age but they could try and use some febreeze outlets or something. The beds are not comfy at all and the room we stayed in (rm 4) was a lot like this bootcamp room I had to live in as a teen, just saying. They had wifi but it only worked on the first floor and all the rooms are upstairs, so you had to go downstairs to get a signal. The staff wasn't bad but honestly we only had contact with one guy who seemed to be the receptionist/bartender/server. Oh and if you happen to be a fan of the series American Horror Story, you'll really like this place! That was all we thought about while we were here lol.
