Apartment was clean, very spacious and modern. Only issue, which was a fairly big one was our apartment was in the first floor (flat one) and directly above the communal entrance to the block of apartments. The door shakes the whole apartment when slamming shut throughout the night so had the kids and my partner and I awake most hours of the night as other guests came and went.

Most amazing views in Edinburgh! The place couldn't have been nicer. Lots of steps up to room but nice to be able to check in/out without interacting with people.

The staff at the Nira Caledonia are superb, a wonderful greeting and a good check in at breakfast the following day to make sure we were all OK. Some tips for places to visit too. Our room was small but perfectly adequate for one night. Great location, nice quiet road, but still only a 15 min walk from the main areas. There are also some nice back streets nearby with smaller cafes and bars etc.

Lovely clean hotel.
Stupid thing was the tv was at the side of the room and a big mirror was where it should have been so u could relax on bed to watch it

Also the room was freezing
Heating didn’t work at all
Had to spend most of the time under the quilt to stay warm
