Find hotels in Droisy from £22

The best area to stay in Droisy is generally within the village itself or in one of the well-appointed gîtes or boutique hotels just outside its central hub.

Droisy is a small, rural village in Normandy, offering a tranquil escape. The village centre is modest, with a focus on its historic church and a few local amenities. Accommodation here typically consists of charming guesthouses or renovated farmhouses. It's a place where the pace of life slows down, and the focus is on the beautiful countryside.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find Droisy ideal. The quiet lanes are great for leisurely strolls, and many guesthouses offer private gardens where you can relax. You're well-placed to explore the surrounding Norman countryside, including nearby apple orchards and the local cider routes.

For families, staying in a gîte or a larger holiday home just outside the village centre can be an excellent option. These properties often come with more space, outdoor areas, and amenities suitable for children.

The best time to visit Droisy is during the late spring to early autumn months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is most agreeable for exploring the Norman countryside.

During May and June, the countryside is lush and green, and the temperatures are pleasantly mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like walking or cycling through the picturesque lanes and orchards. You'll also find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more tranquil experience.

July and August offer the warmest weather, with average temperatures often between 20°C and 25°C, and longer daylight hours. This is superb for visitors who want to enjoy the full warmth of summer, perhaps taking advantage of nearby coastal excursions or simply relaxing in the gardens of their accommodation. Families often find these months ideal for a holiday, as the consistent good weather allows for a variety of outdoor activities and visits to local attractions without the worry of rain.

September provides a lovely transition, with temperatures still comfortable, usually around 18°C to 22°C, and the landscape beginning to show the first signs of autumn colours.
